  • So easy to make, you’ll have a snack in minutes, no mess
Color: Red
This is a great popcorn popper, very easy to use and clean. You pop the kernels without oil, so you can just rinse and let it air dry. No mess! The popper collapses for easy storage. Here’s a photo of it in my cupboard. Everybody’s microwave is different, I set my time to 5 minutes and just listen till the popping slows down, usually about 3-1/2 mins. After I put it in a bowl I use butter spray and assorted flavor toppings. It makes 10 cups of popcorn. I usually have about 4 or 5 unpopped kernels. Really really good healthy popcorn! You should try it ... show more

  • great product
Color: Red
Excellent popcorn. The key is to stop the popping when it slows. It took only 2 minutes using 2 tablespoons of corn for my 1200 watt microwave. Popped up tender and delicious. So much easier than using my stove top and a much better result.

  • Life-changing for a Popcorn Aficionado
Color: Blue
I love this bowl. I'm a self-admitted popcorn snob. I use ACTUAL movie theater buttered oils and salt (Butter-Flav'd Soybean and Flavacol) to make DEAD ON movie theater popcorn (no "STYLE" about it... it's the REAL stuff). Until this, I used a countertop wire-spin popper from Dash and also one from Cuisinart with a dishwashable hotplate, but both of those poppers have sat unused since I got this one. It can't manage the volume of the machines, but when making popcorn for 1-4 people, it does really well without the extra setup of dragging out and cleaning up the machines. It's also faster needing only 2:10 in my 1100w Panasonic Inverter microwave (The best, BTW!) to pop about 1/2 cup of quality kernels like Orville or Pop Secret. Boutique kernels take a bit longer or burn in a microwave so you might want to pass on anything except good-ol' regular popping corn. The collapsible silicone bowl is really efficient to store, and super easy to clean, with residues just about wiping out with hot water and Dawn (absolute best for grease! They use it on oil spills for a reason!). I've noticed only a VERY minor bit or staining from the yellow coloring in the buttered oil, but nothing to really upset me. I just wanted to point it out. Does not affect use or effectiveness one bit! This is a cost-effective substitute for the ease of microwave corn with the ability to control everything about your popping experience, unlike bagged microwave popcorn. Just spend the money. ... show more

  • What's making that popping sound?..
Color: Red
Item is made fairly well and folds up for easy storage. Only a few kernels failed to pop when I used the recommended amount of popcorn. I have a high power Panasonic microwave. Be careful you don't over do it by leaving it in the oven too long. You can even use this popper to serve the popcorn..nice idea. Very attractive, too. Happy with the purchase, so far. ... show more

  • Low cal popcorn
Color: Red
If you are looking for a simple way to make lo-cal popcorn, this is it. Very easy to use and so far no burnt kernels. The corn fully pops and tastes good. The bowl is sturdy and lightweight with a flat bottom, also collapsible for easy storing.

  • Perfect Popcorn
Color: Red
Easy to use and clean, makes plenty of popcorn and I am happy the brand is something I recognize and trust. It collapses to store flat but can collapse if you set it down too hard. I just am gentle with it and it doesn't give me trouble.

  • Don't be swayed by the name! EDIT: Cannot be returned.
Color: Red
What a dud. We cleaned the unit as directed. Put a scant 1/4 cup of brand name (O.R.) popcorn and a small splash of the O.R. oil into the bowl. Put on the lid as directed and stuck it in my Kitchenaid built-in unit. Four minutes and we finally took it out despite virtually NO popping. Eighteen kernels popped out of 1/4 cup of expensive kernels. The unpopped stuff did not burn...they just sat there. Tried this three more times after cooling and wiping out the bowl as directed. LESS popped kernels. Took this thing over to a neighbor and tried it all over again in their microwave...using different, cheaper popcorn. NO CHANGE. Tried the neighbors on the other side and got the SAME results. Everyone was shocked that this was such a big name brand item. Evidently not for this gizmo. Going to carefully clean this up...no burning, no smell (almost no anything) and send it back to Amazon for a refund. This is ridiculous! Worthless piece of plastic. What a shame. ... show more

  • Great idea but subpar performance
Color: Red
I purchased this popper in hopes of finding a fast and easy to clean up method of popping popcorn in the microwave without resorting to the packaged one from the store. Previously I had been using an Orville model, that takes small cardboard like disks that need to be replaced after a few uses. I was hoping the Cuisinart would do the trick. The collapsing feature is great, and makes storing the popper a breeze. I do find the collapsing portions though to be too thin, and it makes it difficult to collapse it properly, as they don't like to fold correctly. I also noticed the silicon, or whatever the base is made up, fails the so called pinch test, and is very white. Typically this means a lower quality silicone has been used, with more fillers. The biggest reason for my lower overall rating is that it just doesn't pop popcorn like my Orville does. I've tried different amounts, different popcorn and oil, and I usually get about 1/3 to 1/2 of the seeds unpopped, before the popped corn starts to burn. I have a 1500 watt microwave that works great with the Orville, so I'm fairly confident it's the Cuisinart and not anything else. It's easy to clean, collapses into a flat easy to store shape, but doesn't seem to be made of super high quality materials and produces sub par popcorn. It's fairly inexpensive, however I typically think of Cuisinart as a brand that produces quality products. This one fell quite short of my expectations, and I would recommend looking elsewhere for a popper. ... show more
