  • Longer than expected, great construction and nice shorts - just not for running
Color: Black Size: Large Pattern Name: 2021
I use these for moderate runs with a typical 45-60 minute duration. The pros: * High quality, lightweight material that looks and feels good * Nice side pockets, although I don't think you'd enjoy running with a phone in there (it would easily fit) * Inner lining that can hold you comfortably in place, although more snug than a swimsuit for sure The cons: * My entire shorts are saturated with sweat after a run. 100% of them (front, back, sides, top, bottom - everything), which is different than other materials, and I don’t notice any quicker drying. The real downside is the shorts drag on my lower quads when wet making this a no-go for any serious workout. * The top of the waist to the center of the crotch is 12”. The 7” inseam is accurate. This turns out to be about 2” above the knee for me and I’m 5’11”. It also falls the same as some of my go-to cargo shorts I have that are 10” from waist to crotch center, but with a 9” inseam, so this combination of measurements is important to know (both are 19”, both fall about the same on the leg). While I would prefer this length from a social aspect or maybe if I was at a gym, 5” is better suited for running for me. ... show more

  • They Do The Job Like Most Other Brands
Color: Pigment Size: Small Pattern Name: 2021
I own several other brands of running shorts (Asics, DSG, Nike & Under Armour). They all pretty much do the job for my purposes (gym workouts). There are minor fit and design differences between them (e.g., Asics has the trimmest fit which I prefer but no pockets, DSG which is Dick's Sporting Goods house brand uses the nicest materials and is better tailored than the others but has the longest/baggiest fit which I don't like, Nike uses the thinnest & most difficult to use drawstring,...). But for $20-$30 each it's hard to expect a "bespoke" & uber-quality garment. This short is no different and so my only complaint of significance is that they are too baggy for even my relatively large "bicyclist" legs (which is merely a vanity issue since they look a bit goofy on my thin 28" waist & short 5'5" frame). Otherwise, like I said, they do the job. ... show more

  • No Elastic?
Color: Pigment Size: Large Pattern Name: 2021
These are the worst running shorts I have owned in my 40 years of running, although this particular brand was one that previously had been among the best. I returned my first order because I would have been running with shorts at my ankles had I not held them up with my hand during my first run. I assumed that I had ordered too large of a size, but I also noticed that there was no "snap" to what should have been the area where the elastic should have been. I ordered a replacement that was one size smaller than the previous order, and again the shorts would not stay up, despite drawing the strings as tight as I possibly could. There is no elasticity! The decision to remove elastic from the shorts has ruined what was once one of my favorite running shorts. It's a shame, and it's also a small waste of money. ... show more

  • Cheaply made junk
Color: Black Size: Medium Pattern Name: 2021
The elastic was very weak...falling down weak despite proper fit.

  • Great workout shorts for short people.
Finally a pair of workout shorts that isn't too long for a short person. I'm 5'5" and have a heck of a time finding shorts I like that don't go over my knees, but aren't totally short runners shorts. Oh and I also need pockets. It's always hard to tell just from the stated inseam size (if there is one) if a short will be too long because it also depends on how big the body of the shorts are. These are perfect. They hit me just a couple inches above my knee. They don't flare and aren't baggy. They are light so they won't weigh me down during HIIT training. And they just sorta look great on me. I've ordered a second pair in a different color. ... show more

  • does not fit to size.

  • Great fit, looks good, very comfortable in full range of movement
Color: Black Size: Medium Pattern Name: 2018
I currently wear 34" waist jeans, and I'm 5'7". Medium fit really well. They definitely don't look baggy on me, actually kind of slimming, yet they offer full freedom of movement without any tightness. It comes down to about 2" above the knee which is fine. Finding shorts that don't hang past the knee is really difficult for a short person nowadays for some reason. The elastic waistband feels a tad snug, but not uncomfortably so. That will likely loosen up over time anyway and I'm continuing to lose weight, so it's just right. It has a nice texture, not that slick satiny feel. Very light but I have no problem wearing these out to the store or whatever. Nice big pockets too. This was a good find! ... show more

  • Every size fits different.
Color: Black Size: Small Pattern Name: 2021
I have used the 5” size small for years. The 5” was slightly baggy which I liked for hiking. The 7” is much tighter around the legs and the waistband is much tighter. I had to size up to medium but the fit is all wrong. The waist is now loose and I need to tie the waist strings. But the lower leg is still noticeably tighter than the 5”. Time to look for a new product. ... show more
