I usually rely on Cuisinart products to be exceptional and worth the money. This fondue pot not only looks lovely on your table, but it functions very well. It brings the contents to a boil quickly. (the wine and garlic if you’re doing the cheese fondue) it also works very well with chocolate. . It was easy to clean because it is nonstick. This pot is perfect for fondue nights. It cooks food thoroughly. I love that you can adjust the oil temp easily. It functions perfectly. The food comes out tasting perfectly. It was easy to put together. The stainless steel is very sleek looking.

Only issue is when using for meat fondue is the oil has a tendency to splatter because the the rim doesn't cover far enough into the center of the pot to minimize splattering. Otherwise, it cooks as advertised, easy to clean and works really well for cheese fondue

Bought this so we could do something a little different for Valentine's Day! When I brought it out of the box, my hubby was like WHY did you buy this, when we have one in the cabinet (it was a candle/burner type one which is way to complicated for me to figure out, so it's just sat up there for 7 years unused) I said this one is electric, and looks A LOT nicer and easier...He gave up his argument for the sake of Valentine's...So..I win! hehe anyways...it was sooo easy and the directions were also very easy to follow...I did have to turn it down to a lower setting than what the instruction book said, but no biggie. The cord is short, Our first course (the CHEESE) I didn't have the extension cord, so we ate it right at our kitchen bar...While sitting there enjoying our delicious appetizer...my hubby said..."I now understand why you bought this...this looks so easy to set up and make, and this stuff is amazing! We're definitely gonna get some use out of this! " (hate to say I told ya so but.......) We were so stuffed after the 1st course, we decided to save the main course (filet mignon and potatoes) for another night, but we absolutely had enough room for dessert!! So a little while later, i started on the CHOCOLATE! Yum! We were at that point wanting to relax in the living room and he said...can't we have it in here...let's get and extension cord and see how it works....Found one..and worked like a charm...we had it on our living room ottoman... Other reviewers said they had problems with the magnetic cord being easy to come apart...but we had no problems...we even had dogs running all around the living room with toys and such..and nothing came unplugged! Needless to say, this was wonderful for Valentine's day, and I can't wait to use it for Date nights at home and hopefully gonna have a Fondue PARTY one day soon! I upgraded from a cheaper fondue pot that wasn’t nonstick. This has completely changed my life. I’m so glad I upgraded. My family loves fondue. We’ll be using this weekly throughout the winter. After returning from our trip to Switzerland. We craved some fondue. I found this product and gave it a try. The product worked as advertised. The cheese didn't come out as expected, but that was user error. The pot is heavy, and is well built. It has a huge capacity.
