Seems like it's impossible to get a set of really high-quality knives today. These look nice and were better quality than a cheap set I replaced but don't expect perfection. Each knife has some tiny flaws. The main big knife, shown standing in the picture, has rolls in the blade in a few spots, looks like a used knife almost. The tip region of the blade is sharp but, the mid sections and section closer to the handle is barely sharp, rather dull with multiple rolls in the edge. ... show more

These knives are probably too good. For the first time in my life (I’m 27) I splurged and bought a “nice” knife set, well jokes on me... almost every time I cook or wash dishes I cut myself from these super sharp knives. We’ve had to completely change our dish routine so we don’t stab ourselves. If you’re looking for extra sharp knives then this is definitely them! The wooden block is just "okay" as it is not solid wood, but it looks nice. The steak knives could be better, but they aren't bad, I would call them slightly above average. Everything else about this set is amazing -- very sharp knives, well made, German MOV steel. No wooden, or plastic handles to fall apart. Good investment for the money. Best knives ever!!! I’ve never bought any knives online, we normally buy them at the store. I just pretty good reviews about these ones. If you want very sharp knives, get them. I only use the small one because how sharped they are. My husband use them all.
