Fits a laptop, tablet, pens, and maybe a 1" book of some sort. Other than that it is very limited on space: don't expect to haul around even a single 3 ring binder. Also the laptop pocket is sewn 3" above the bottom of the bag, losing valuable space on the interior as well. Overall the leather looks great and the material/construction is great. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this bag. It looks totally vintage. Well made. It fits two of my 15 inch lab tops and two notebooks along with my chargers and some extra goodies in the front. My 1982 vintage leather valise went on holiday without me. I didn't want to spend an arm an a leg on replacement as my career is winding down. This delightful brief fit the bill exactly. Holds what it needs to, has a nice secure strap to keep my laptop from wandering and plenty of room for a notebook. Front pockets make organization easier as do some internal pockets. Buckles fall off constantly finally lost them. This is poor quality and I am stuck with it because I missed the return window
