I typically go very economical when putting a system in my car but decided to step up and could not be more satisfied. 1500 watts RMS is the largest amp I’ve ever owned so I can not really compare anything near the power this thing has. I am driving 2 8” CT meso subs and I don’t think my car could deal with anything bigger than this. I say if this pairs nicely with your setup then go for it. This amp is great. I have a ford explorer xlt and added a sub to my stock radio because changing the head unit in my truck is not cheap and also changes all your heating and ac controls. I ran an lci line booster to this amp after tapping into my front speakers on the radio. I have this amp powering 1 Alpine type r 2ohm 12” sub in a skar audio ported box. This amp is power hungry so I ran 4guage and let me tell you this amp delivers on power and doesn’t dim my lights. I also added an autotek amp to a pair of alpine 6x9s in sealed boxes and they sound great with this amp powering the sub. My only gripe is there’s no on board fuses with this amp so aside from the inline fuse coming from the battery I added an inline circuit breaker 300 amp as an extra safety measure. Ct sounds is out of Texas and is a well built American made product and worth every penny. The picture posted is before the install. ... show more

    • Worth it's weight
I am writing this review on 18/03/22. I purchased this amp to replace my Skar RP1500.1D as at a 2 Ohm load it would periodically "cut out" due to it getting hot while it was in a well ventilated area. First impression is, it's heavy, feels very good in the hand. I finished installing it this morning and while playing I was like....it's kinda soft. So I double checked the settings and realized I had my gain set fairly low based on the previous amp and all I can say is, "oh man....It hits". Now I don't have anything extravagant I have a ported and tuned vented box with a Rockford Fosgate P3D4-10 (500W RMS rating) wired in parallel down to 2 ohms and I could not be happier so far. I live in a warm climate as I am from the carribean so if cooling becomes an issue I will just add 2 fans to keep it cool. I will update if necessary. ... show more

    • Exceeded my expectations
Great performance and sturdy feel. Very straight forward setup and not to big and bulky. For the price I wasn't expecting much and the power this thing packed just blew me away.

    • DOA RCA inputs
got the blinking power/ protect mode issue others have had even with good grounds. got the connections just right and voltage so it would stop that. but no sound would work the RCA inputs were DOA only rca that worked was bridge in. no dials worked whatsoever but that could have been from the bridge in not allowing those to be used but from a slave amp. contacted support about the issue just ran through basic could be your cables things which i tested but knew it wasn't the cause as i swapped them from my other amp to this one. 1st time buying from CT and unfortunately it was bad and won't be trying another from them. maybe you'll have a better attempt then i did. ... show more
