  • Sexy amp, I love it
This is the best looking amp I’ve ever owned. I love the color, light up display, and clear base. The sound quality is great also, plenty of power. I’m using this to power 2 way components actively and the high crossover ability is great for this. Amp runs cool to the touch. I thought the 60 watts might be a bit low until I learned that they rated the power at 12.8 volts instead of 14.4 like most companies. ... show more

  • Great amp. I've got 2 strato 6
Great amp. I've got 2 strato 6.5 coaxials on it and a pair of 6.5 infinity comps on it. The sound is crystal clear and the looks are great. class AB amps are still the way to go for me for kids and highs.

  • Good bang for your buck
I have this amp powering 2 sets of 6.5" infinity reference components and let me tell you, it sounds amazing. I love that the bottom has a plexiglass cover so you can see all the guts. The packaging was nice too, very fancy looking.

  • Compared to a similarly priced amplifier from a reputable company, CT Sounds' amplifiers are exorbitantly overpriced
Before I get into the amp's performance, let me say that I believe the CT Sounds AT-60.4 unit I received is defective, so I'm in the process of returning it now. I believe the unit is defective because it occasionally shuts off without reason and also makes strange (and loud) popping noises coming out of the right channel speakers (also occasionally) while my new amplifier doesn't. I understand that it's impossible for a company to make sure each and every unit that ships functions properly. I'm not writing this 1 star review because I believe I received a defective unit and I'm angry - I'm writing a 1 star review because during the times my CT Sounds amp appears to be functioning properly, the performance at its price point is absolutely appalling. To that you'd almost certainly say that the lack of performance is due to the amp being a dud and you'd likely blow my review off as one written by a disgruntled customer who received a defective unit, but after you notice that CT Sounds' products only have positive reviews on Amazon, you'll almost certainly look elsewhere in your search for a car amplifier. My new amplifier is the Zapco ST-5X II 5-channel amplifier which at the time of writing is selling for $270. I'm aware that that's considerably more than this CT Sounds amp, but it has 5 channels whereas this CT Sounds amp only has 4. At the time of writing, the Zapco ST-4XSQ amplifier from the same product line is selling for $190 - only $30 more than this CT Sounds amp. However, it's worth noting that the ST-4XSQ also outputs 15W less than my ST-5X II, so saying that the ST-4XSQ will sound just as good as the ST-5X II that I'm comparing the CT Sounds amp to would be false, but I would imagine the ST-4XSQ and the ST-5X II perform similarly. Do yourself a favor and google CT Sounds to see what you find. Not much? Didn't think so. Better yet, search the carav subreddit (reddit.com/r/carav) for CT Sounds and see what reviews there are. Now google the Zapco brand and search the carav subreddit. Zapco has a long history of high quality amplifiers. PERFORMANCE COMPARISON: Again I'd like to reiterate that I think my unit is defective, so this isn't the fairest comparison. However, when the amp appears to be functioning as it should, the sound coming out of my Focal Access 165 A1 component speakers ($270 a pair) when being driven by the CT Sounds amp is shockingly terrible when compared to the Zapco ST-5X II. Going from the CT Sounds amp to the Zapco resulted in: - A widened and more accurate sound stage. It honestly sounds like I replaced the speakers the difference is so dramatic. The voices became centered and sounded like they were emanating from the speedometer (after adjusting my Pioneer SPH-DA120's built in sound processing) which is something I've never before heard in a car. - Significantly more detail. Again, it sounded like I just installed a new pair of speakers. - A much flatter frequency response. CONCLUSION: Don't buy anything from CT Sounds. Do some research and spend your money on a product made by a company that invests their money in the quality of their product instead of marketing and a flashy backlit logo. PS: To anyone wondering why I even bought this amplifier given the better options, it's only because the large number of 5 star reviews fooled me into thinking this amp was worth a try. Also, I've uploaded pictures of both amplifiers side by side to prove that I have bought both of them (excuse the wiring mess) ... show more

  • ... the amp about a week ago and so far love this amp
Installed the amp about a week ago and so far love this amp. I have it pushing 2 focal 6x9's in the back doors and a set of 6.5 component in the front if you want a amp for mids and hi's then this amp is great I also purchased the 900.1 that I have pushing a dvc 2ohm ct sounds strato and i am really happy with CT Sounds great product. But trying to get ahold of the customer service or tech support to ask a question sucks you can't get ahold of them sent multiple e-mails and no return e-mails so if they would work on that it would be a good company. I still gave 5 stars because I am reviewing the product not the company. ... show more

  • Awesome amp to build an all around system.
Excellent 4 channel amp. Running a component set off of the one side 3&4 and 2 12" pioneer shallow mount subs off of 1&2 side. Rear fill running off of the head unit. This amp kills it ....Awesome job CTsounds.

  • This is a highly recommended an small foot print amp
This is a highly recommended an small foot print amp.that produces excellent sounds quality an is very efficient even at the lowest voltage. I've sold 40 plus of these amps an used at least 4 in my personal vehicle for years now. An when I say efficient I've ran these amp @ 1 ohm per channel an they handled it like a champ got hot of course but never stopped working. They'll go into protect @ 1 ohm of course but will cool off an play fine especially in this hot Louisiana weather. Out of everyone I've sold I've never had one single come back an I know customers to this day that still run em with no issue an this is going on roughly 3 yrs. great amp period well worth the money ... show more
