This is really beautiful chandelier. However, installation is very difficult. You will need a wire cutter and wire stripper to connect lights to the main power cord. Next, placing all the ornaments is at least 2 hours job. They are completely dissembled and you need to put it together one by one and then attach to the chandelier. There are 24 of small tear drop ornaments that need to be each attached to a small crystal and then to the plate. Of course there are many more. Make sure you do that before attaching the chandelier to the ceiling, otherwise it is going to be an impossible job. This gorgeous chandelier arrived extra safely packaged and exactly as pictured and described. It has exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with it. It has definitely elevated the lighting in our dining room. I think it is so pretty and I just keep going in there to admire it : ) The task of assembling all the pieces did seem a little daunting at first, but once the hubby and I got to work, it wasn't that bad at all. He has experience with electrical wiring, so we were able to install it without any difficulties. There were wiring and assembly instructions included in the box. This is a gorgeous chandelier. I did not attempt to install it on my own. I was having some work done in another part of my home, and had the handyman install this chandelier in our hallway. It isn't as big as I had originally thought it was, so we re-thought the best place for it, and the hallway is the perfect spot. It lights the entrance to the staircase and is not trying to do more than it should by being in a room it is too large for. I suggest you evaluate your room size before getting any lighting, and then put this one in the right spot! It is beautiful! I think it was the right choice (at least for me) to have it installed, as it is very fragile, and was more complicated than I felt comfortable handling. It was certainly not too difficult for one man who knew what he was doing :) I am very happy to recommend this light fixture! ... show more
