We bought and installed this about a year ago in our main entryway to the house. We got the one with 36 lights and a round base. Everyone that sees it has said how amazing and cool it looks. It looks far better, brighter, and more modern than the traditional old one that was original to the house. It is not currently on a dimmer switch, but we will probably do that in the near future. One thing to keep in mind with this is that it can/will take a *very long time* to get it set up and hung. We were originally going to have our contractors that were doing our main floor remodel install this, but we fired them after other unrelated quality, communications, and scheduling issues and did it ourselves. We are fairly handy and generally comfortable with electrical, plumbing, and light construction work. We have also installed many other light fixtures and ceiling fans before. This one was by far the most complicated and time consuming! Setup: The pre-wiring of all the hanging bulbs took around 4 hours because we had to get all the wire lengths correct and connected in the base. This involved a lot of measuring, making sure the lengths looked randomly random, and then finally testing the wiring *before* we actually got the scaffolding and hung it from the ceiling. As a precaution, we carefully and neatly twist tied all the wiring in the base to keep it from moving around and to keep it compact and organized. If by some small chance it needs work in the future it would be much easier. We also left a good amount of extra wire up in the base in case we want to change the lengths later. Maybe into a spiral or something years down the road. Installing: Hanging it required scaffolding and took three of us about 2 hours to finish. Two of us were up top mounting the metal frame that the base attaches too and everything hangs from. The other person was on the ground helping with anything else. It is all very heavy, and needless(?) to say you should attach the acrylic balls after everything is hung. Also, be sure to *not* take the protective clear plastic off until it is securely hung to prevent scratches directly on the metal. Oops. Minor issue: We did have to contact the seller to get a new set of instructions since "we" (our contractors mentioned above) lost the original papers at some point. I mention this because the PDF the seller sent was a very low resolution/compressed. It was difficult to see some of the details in the wiring diagrams, mounting instructions, or read some of the text. I would only take a half star off if that were an option. I would gladly get another light fixture like this if/when we have a place for one.

It did take three electricians two days to install, but it looks great. I think the issue was positioning the individual globes. They were not able to push the wire up into the base to raise a globe. So they had to take the entire fixture down to pull the wire into the base. Lots of trial and error up and down.

Very nice light for our dining room. Assembly and installation takes some time and patience so allow ample time and take it slow. But well worth all the effort. Really like the adjustable length for the crystal balls. Can tailor these to whatever looks good. Inspecting the contents when the package first arrived, found that one crystal ball was missing. Amazon helped me contact the seller and in a short time received conformation a replacement was sent. Got in less than a week and all was complete. Really like the quick response from the seller. Also make sure your ceiling fixture can hold up to 50 pounds, really heavy with all the crystal balls installed. I used a different type of sheet rock anchor than what come with the light. But it's very secure and easily holds the weight. Nice that the light comes complete with LED bulbs. Would highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and contemporary that doesn't overwhelm the room or location

This fixture is cool! But make no mistake, you need an electrician and that part will cost you because it took two electricians to build a scaffold, and actually wire the inside of the fixture itself to get it to work. I watched these guys and it took HOURS and HOURS. Lovely to look at though when it's all done.

This fixture is equivalent to the original at a fraction of the cost. I previously spent thousands for half as many lights and can’t tell the difference in quality and I got twice the light for hundreds of dollars. But it, you won’t have regrets. Yes, it’s a bit complicated to install, especially with a high ceiling. You may want to hire a professional. We installed ours and ended up purchasing replacement fasteners for mounting as the hardware provided wasn’t user friendly.

Absolutely love this thing! I am an avid DIY homeowner and decided to tackle this myself. If you have basic electrical knowledge and the confidence to do it, this is not a hard install. From start to finish it took me about 4 hours by myself. The kit comes with concrete anchors so if you are installing on a drywall ceiling you will need to purchase some drywall anchors. I used some 100lb rated toggle anchors. Finding a ladder for my 17’ ceiling was the hardest part and I ended up renting a 14’ A frame from Home Depot for $40. The only issue I had was that the pre-wired wire terminal was not hooked up properly. The wires were not stripped long enough. I ended up taking the wires out of the terminal and installed some of the crimps from the kit on the wire ends. Make sure you test each string before you start climbing the ladder! I priced similar fixtures locally and this was about $1,500 cheaper than anything I saw. It is a great deal! It is not worth knocking a star off, but the only thing I was not 100% happy with was the light output compared to my old one. Overall, great product and I highly recommend. I was not paid for this review nor do I have any connection with the seller.
