Crucial has always been my go-to but this product description is misleading. "Description CT2K16G4DFD8266 is a 32GB Kit consisting of (2) 16GB DDR4 desktop modules that operates at speeds up to 2666 MT/s and has a CL19 latency. It is an Unbuffered DIMM. It conforms to the industry standard DDR4 ECC UDIMM layout of 288 pins and is compatible with systems that take DDR4 2666MT/s UDIMM memory." This does NOT conform with ECC standards for one second. I will add that on crucial's website the product is marketed correctly and clearly states NON ECC

This memory is identical to the Micron model MTA8ATF1G64AZ-2G6E1 that was in my new Dell computer that came with a single 8gb stick. I wanted to add another stick that matched to add memory and allow dual-channel. the Micron brand can't be found except on Ebay you can buy it buy used. I don't think they sell Micron brand to consumers, only as OEM to computer manufacturers like Dell. After doing some research I was pretty sure this would work, but after getting the memory stick I can confirm they are the same, as this stick had two stickers on it, one with the Micron model number, and the other with the Crucial model number. I installed it in the computer, it recognized I now had 16gb memory during boot, and the BIOS automatically changed to dual-channel on my Dell. Doesn't get any easier then that.

Upgraded my Dell 8930 from 16GB to 32GB. This was a well-reviewed product and their website was helpful ordering the correct part. Came in as expected, installed in about 4 minutes, immediately recognized by system, and has been terrific. Only been in about 3 weeks so can't speak to durability yet, but I have seen one (1) RAM chip failure in 32 years of computing, so we'll see.

Budget memory that is not compatible with MSI X470 Gaming Plus Motherboard that is using Ryzen 5 CPU Bought and installed the Crucial 16GB Single DDR4 UDIMM CL17 memory into my new MSI X470 Gaming Plus motherboard with Ryzen 5 CPU. I'm experienced with building PC's from scratch, been my hobby since college. When I started the computer for the first time, it would not post or allow me to go into BIOS, and gave out 3 long beeps. Online search found that it's a memory not detected, or faulty. I don't think I have a bad motherboard because I've never had a motherboard fail, but I've had lots of memory cards that did fail even when new. If cheap components are used in a memory card, it will have lots of quality and compatibility issues. After trying to re-seat the 16GB card many times, it finally worked without explanation. In BIOS, I wasn't able to enable my motherboard's XMP to adjust memory speed or settings (all XMP settings were locked out). After running it for a few hours, I shut the PC down to install a new CD-Rom. Then when I tried to turn my PC on, again would not post or allow me to go into BIOS, gave three long beeps, memory issue again. I finally gave up on the Crucial 16GB card and bought a premium gaming memory, CORSAIR 16GB (8GB x 2) Vengeance LPX, CL15, 3000 Mhz. After installing the Corsair memory cards, the computer booted fine the first time, and booted up twice as fast into Windows 10. My first guess is the Crucial memory cards are defective or has compatibility issues. My second guess is the CL17 rating of the Crucial memory is too slow for the CPU and motherboard, and Ryzen 5 needs memory cards rated at CL15 and CL16 or better (the lower the CL the faster the memory). Funny thing is after I purchased the Corsair Vengeance, as I was waiting for it to ship to my house, the Crucial 16GB was working again and allowing the PC to boot up into Windows 10. It's as if it knows the Crucial memory is getting replaced and it decided to work again. After installing the Corsair Vengeance cards, the default speed was at 2100 Mhz, without any XMP configuration. I went into the Bios, enabled A-XMP, set it to profile 2, and it's now operating at 2933 Mhz, close to the advertised speed of 3000 Mhz! Very happy with the Corasir Vengeance memory cards ($110 at time of purchase) even though it was $11 more than the Crucial card. Pro's of Crucial 16GB 2400: 1. Budget friendly for the PC running only office programs 2. Uses only one memory slot Cons: 1. Will slow down gaming 2. Slower boot up time to Windows 10 (20 seconds) versus Corsair Vengeance DDR 4 3000 Mhz (only 10 seconds) 3. May not be compatible with newer CPU's like Ryzen 5's or higher that demand high performance memory

Just received this 16GB stick today, popped it in and it started right up and so i proceeded to run some tests... I know many people with the 5675 Inspiron Gaming Desktop have had problems with getting the memory to run at its rated speed of 2400Mhz. The system comes with only 1 stick of ram so it can't run in duel channel mode until you add another stick so I bought this second 16GB module and now it runs at exactly 2400Mhz. It's blazing fast now. I don't need 32 GB's of ram but I wanted the performance boost of duel channel so I splurged and bought another stick. It's very easy to install and very little force is needed to seat the ram properly so don't force it. The CAS latency is quite nice 17 across the board quite snappy. I attached a photo of the results. This along with the NVME M.2 PCIe card I installed makes the a system quite a powerhouse at a very reasonable price. 950USD at Best Buy, system specs as follows Ryzen 7 1700, 32GB 2400Mhz ram, 128GB Samsung NVME M.2 PCIe, 1TB 7200 HHD, Rx 580 video card. This comp plays everything now on ultra settings from Wither 3 to PUBG and Battlefield 4... I plan on upgrading the video card to a GTX 1080 and another SSD in the near future. This computer blows away my 5 year old 4k dollar system! Crucial makes some high grade memory as well. I opted for this one over the Kingston as it had more high rated reviews and I'm not disappointed. Do yourself a favor and go for it!
