I absolutely love this Michael Kors Brooklyn Duffel bag. I own many Michael Kors pieces that I’ve collected over the years. As with each of the Kors pieces in my closet, the quality is outstanding. This bag is no different. I looked over every inch of this bag with a critical eye, and I can confidently say it is built to last. The stitching is impeccable - I couldn’t find a single flaw in the stitching. The bag has two silver-tone or gunmetal-colored metal zippers. There is a main zipper that runs across the top of the bag and another zipper on a convenient exterior side pocket. There are two handles to hold the bag in your hand or over your forearm. They also included a removable strap that clips on either side of the bag. With this, you can wear the bag as a cross-body (like a messenger bag) or over your shoulder. This bag truly follows the old adage, “you get what you pay for.” The smooth nylon material is durable, lightweight, and incredibly easy to clean. This is something I can personally confirm after a small mishap with diet soda last weekend while I was packing this bag for a weekend trip away. I spilled diet soda all over the side of the bag. I ran to get a paper towel. When I came back, I was happy to see that the entire amount of liquid that was once all over the bag had run cleanly off the side. The bag wiped clean very easily with the dry paper towel. I followed up with a wet paper towel to make sure no residue was left. I didn’t want to find sticky or tacky spots later. The moisture from the wet paper towel dried immediately. The gunmetal-colored nylon fabric is strong and seems tear-resistant. It still looks brand new after a weekend getaway at a hotel. I am sure it will hold up well once it goes through airport bag handling. I’ve stayed loyal to Michael Kors over the years because its pieces hold up exceptionally well. I have clothing, shoes, bags, belts, and even jewelry from the MK brand - some pieces are over 20 years old. Every single item still looks as good as the day I bought it. I’ve never had to get rid of anything MK due to wear and tear, which really speaks to the longevity of their items. I mention all of this because I’ve seen others say this bag is on the pricier side. In my opinion, the quality and durability make it well worth the investment. This is the kind of bag you can use for years - if not a lifetime - without worrying about it falling apart. If you’re familiar with the Michael Kors Harrison Duffel, this Brooklyn Duffel matches it so well that they look like a matching set - even when both bags are sitting side by side. The Brooklyn is slightly smaller and includes an exterior zipper pocket that the Harrison doesn’t have. I actually like the outside pocket and used it a lot last weekend. The size of the Brooklyn Duffel was perfect for our weekend trip. I was able to pack clothes for Friday through Sunday, along with shoes and even a hair dryer. I tend to pack light, but I was still impressed by how much it held, especially since the bag itself adds virtually no extra weight. One packing tip: if your clothes don’t wrinkle easily, roll them instead of folding. You can fit so much more into a duffel bag this way, especially bulkier items like jeans. I also bring a vacuum storage bag with me for my dirty clothes. With the vacuum storage bag, you vacuum out the extra air. This creates room in your bag for things you bought while on your trip. Definitely deserves 5 out of 5 stars. If anything changes, I will come back and edit this review. This is a timeless, well-made bag that I expect will last for years to come. This Michael Kors Brooklyn Gym Duffle Bag, Black/MK Signature Nylon is pretty stylish for gym bag, but very pricey at $260. It is thick, durable, and very good size even for traveling not just for gym. It has a good color and Design, able to hold a lot of things.

OK, right off I need you to ignore the color in the pictures. This bag is black. Between the indoor lighting and my iPhone, Im getting some kind of color fault that I cant seem to correct. Its a black bag. The very first pictures is the best representation of the actual color. This is a really nice bag. They describe it as a gym bag but we are Planet Fitness not Orange Theory so this isnt going to the gym. Where it will go is on the plane. This makes a great carry on bag and will get a lot of pleasant attention. The exterior fabric is a smooth canvas with the signature MK design. Very nice feel and should be reasonably water replant. The specifications dont say what the trim is made of but Im guessing its synthetic based on feel and other similar MK designs. Its very thick and should hold up well. The interior has a beautiful lining that should add another bit of water resistance. For the most part this is just a single compartment bag but there are two exterior zippered pockets (front and left side), one interior zippered pocket and two "open" interior pockets. More than enough for cell phones, wallets, keys, etc. The interior open pockets are big enough for a standard Kindle. the might hold a shoe in each as long as you are below an mens 8 or they are very thin shoes/sandals. There is a shoulder strap but honestly this feels like a handle bag to me. Build is excellent. The handles are wrap around and box stitched at the connection point. Zippers are beefy and if they are not YKK I would be shocked. I had one zipper tooth that stuck the first time I opened it. Two full zips later it had "healed" and was perfect. Thats a quality zipper. The bottom of the bag has a thick pad that will keep it looking great even if it gets well used. It also gives it enough form to stay upright without help. They did an amazing job of protecting this in transit. If you like to keep your bag pristine the interior forms can easily be kept and used for storage. This is a really nice, really useful bag. It could absolutely be used for a gym bag, just not our gym! As for value, that is up to you to decide. Ive owned a lot of bags and I have replaced a lot of cheap bags with ones that last. This one will last.

Everything about this bag says style. It’s described as being a gym duffel and could be used for that purpose. For me, though, it’s exactly what I need for travel. Size-wise, it could be used as either a carry-on or personal item on an airplane. Since I take a lot of short trips, it’s ideal for a couple days of clothing and cosmetics, and I can simply stash it in the back seat of my car. The material has the classic Michael Kors design and feels like nylon/polyester. The attached handles are woven nylon and sturdy. There’s a heavy-duty silver-tone zipper across the top that’s edged in faux leather. Both sides have trim piping, which holds the shape of the duffel. The bottom of the bag has a faux leather strip for support. The lined interior has two side pockets and plenty of room for workout gear, clothing, shoes, cosmetics. There’s also a small vertical zipper pocket on the front of the bag. A detachable 2” wide woven shoulder strap clips to metal d-loops on the side and is adjustable to 58" long. I love everything about this versatile multi-purpose bag!
