Crucial and Amazon stand behind the products, but buying quality RAM to put in a Dell will get you a support run around. Be confident in your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues before saving the money, because Dell will not help you if there are any questions related to 3rd party RAM, even when it's top quality RAM and guaranteed compatible like Crucial is. I installed the Crucial RAM in my Dell G15 5520, and it APPEARED to be incapable of POST (power on self test) after the install, but it turns out, this laptop needs time after RAM installation to return to normal operation. Apparently, BEFORE THE DELL LOGO APPEARS, the system is doing some sort of internal testing or verification of the new RAM that requires you to be patient and let it finish. Amazon handled a replacement product when I thought the RAM was defective with no trouble whatsoever, and Crucial was willing to replace the RAM again later when I had taken too long to return to Amazon (30 days is reasonable, but there were delays in trying to install in the laptop again). DELL Service and Support gets 1 Star when handling 3rd party RAM, and thank goodness I happened upon the solution. I got fed up with the apparent lack of POST that I just angrily walked away from the computer, and when I came back, it was at a BIOS screen waiting for a confirmation key press due to hardware change. So to reiterate, if you put this into a DELL Laptop, be patient, and give it time to make sure it recognizes it. Don't be impatient like me and think it's failing to POST.

Esta memoria funcionó muy bien en la XPS. 9720. De hecho quedó con 40 GB puesto que me acepto usar la de 32 con la de 8 del otro slot. Yo uso la computadora para aplicaciones de ingeniería/arquitectura. Recomendación: instalar siguiendo un procedimiento adecuado para no dañarla. Yo encontré un video en YouTube específico para mi laptop y lo único que agregué fue usar guantes de látex para evitar alguna descarga de estática. Obvio los técnicos tienen pulseras especiales para eso, pero es su trabajo. Uno puede simplificar de este modo.

Got two sticks of 16 Gigs. Total 32 Gb. Works flawlessly with Alienware m15 R7 , and Intel I-7 12th Generation. I didn't even have to go to BIOS. Just swap the memory modules and you are in the business. Later I checked my speed and was right on the money - 4800 MHz.

Didn't wok right away. It took a few tries of reseating the ram and letting the laptop do its thing with a black screen before it acknowledge memory change and options to go to bios. Just work with it before giving up.

Bought the laptop a month ago fully intended to upgrade the RAM from 16GB to 32GB. But research on AMD's product page indicated the CPU could support up to 64GB. Lenovo's support page said max of 32GB. Had this on my wishlist and got alerted to a price reduction on the 64GB and couldn't refuse. Happy to say, it worked like a charm. Took maybe half an hour to install, fired right up and booted normally. But I've come to expect that from Crucial laptop RAM. And now I've got 4x the RAM!

I created a bootable USB stick with Memtest86+ and my new 64GB ram passed after 35 minutes of torture testing @ 100°C. I've had a few new memory sticks fail this test over the years, so it was a stressful 35 minutes. Always a pain in the butt to return. Very happy with the performance so far!!!! Benchmarks at 68,000+ MB/s vs 60-63k MB/s the 32GB factory Dell XPS 15" 9520 memory.
