  • Alienware Aurora R16 Owners, This Works!
Size: 64GB Kit (2x32GB) Style: 5600MHz
Compatibility: Alienware Aurora owners know these systems are hard to upgrade unless you buy expensive components from Dell. I bought my Aurora R16, Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF GeForce 5070, in June 2025 with 16GB ram thinking this makes a great gaming machine. Well, on Amazon I found a good deal on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 premium deluxe version so I grabbed one. I found that to run at the highest specs I needed 64GB. I know I know, shoulda checked before buyinig the R16 but MSFS 24 wasn't on my list of games then. Looking at memory upgrades from Dell, 32GB costs $375.99 for 1 stick or $751.98 for a full 64GB, R16 only has two sockets on the motherboard. Browsing the web I found a comment that said Crucial had compatible memory. BTW, the Aurora R16 has DDR5-5600 at 1.1 volts. I could find plenty of memory at 1.35 volts but not 1.1. Also, I didn't see anything in bios that allows me to change the voltage, remember this is an Aurora. Well, Crucial has a System Checker on their website. I downloaded and ran the app which lists components compatible with my Aurora R16. Note, Crucials System Selector page seems to be out of date. On the System Selector page the R16 lists the 14th gen Intel Core 7 chip not the Core Ultra 7 200 chips so I recommend downloading and runnng System Checker app instead. This 64GB (2 x 32GB) kit CP2K32G56C46U5 was one of a handful of memory upgrades listed. I just wanted to report back that it does work on the Aurora R16 so owners have an alternative to Dell for memory upgrades. I did verify this by running MemTest86 after the swap and no I have not enabled the overclocking settings in bio and have not tested either OVCL1 or OVCL2. MemTest86 shows it running at 5186 MT/s (46-45-45-90). BTW I paid $139.99 for Crucial's 64GB kit vs $751.98 for Dell memory. I hope this helps other Aurora R16 owners. July 15, 2025 Updated info I just read the Amazon generated summary of customer reviews for this product. As of July 25 2025 it says "the MHz performance receives mixed reviews, with some customers reporting it runs at 5200 MHz while others achieve 5600 MHz as advertised." I didn't think that was quite fair to Crucial. in my original review I stated in my testing with the default motherboard settings MemTest86 showed it running at 5168 MT/s which is exactly the same as the factory installed 16GB memory. I did say I had not tried the overclocking settings of the Aurora R16. Well, I just wanted to report back that I have now tried overclocking, specifically the OVCL1 settiing in bios. Using OVCL1 the memory description reported by bios shows the Crucial memory as 5600 and the Performance section of the Alienware Command Center reports the frequency as 5587 MHz. So as far as I'm concerned this memory kit performs as advertised at 5600 MHz. I highly recommend this product and I hope this comment corrects the generated customer review summary. Lastly, for those who might be interested, MemTest86 is a freebie utility to surprise, test the ram memory of your computer. This is a great tool for anyone upgrading their memory or who thinks they may be experiencing a problem with ram. You can download it from Passmark Software. Once downloaded you create a boot thumbdrive and run the test from there. Note, there is also a paid version but I've only needed the freebie version, not entirely sure what you get with the paid version though. Just Google or DuckDuckGo MemTest86 Passmark and you'll find it along with instructions on creating the usb boot drive. FYI, Passmark also does a CPU benchmark. The data about cpus is listed on their site and is available for free. The cpu benchmark will give you a good idea of relative performance of each cpu. Just think of it as the amount of horsepower for your cpu. While not the absolute measure of performance it will give you a good idea of relative performance of one cpu versus another. I used it when choosing my Aurora. Again, not an absolute measure of performance since disk I/O, GPU, network and other factors also influence your system. ... show more

  • Very reliable
Size: 64GB Kit (2x32GB) Style: 5600MHz
I got this product back in early 2025 when it was 130 dollars. I cannot deny, I got Hella lucky. Very fast and reliable and perfect tasks other than gaming. I got two of this for the same price by the way.

  • Ample Capacity
Size: 96GB Kit (2x48GB) Style: 5600MHz
I've been using these for some months, 96GB is great and the Crucial DDR5 Pro is very stable, it booted up and applied the rated 5600MT/s out of the box, also has XMP & EXPO in case your motherboard doesn't run at the 5600 out of the box. The modules are mostly cool due to the heat sink which are low profile for wide compatibility with CPU coolers, the kit is definitely easy to install. Since the DIMMs are running at JEDEC standards the modules are widely compatible with many DDR5 platforms. I am eying the Crucial DDR5 128GB (64GB x 2) ... show more

  • Awesome RAM. Fast and slim
Size: 96GB Kit (2x48GB) Style: 5600MHz
These are quite fast high capacity RAM for your computing needs. Simple design and effective. Reliable, no issues so far. Bad memory modules can cause issues sometimes but that’s not the case here.

  • Well, worth the money
Size: 128GB Kit (2x64GB) Style: 5600MHz
I’m a person who just wants my computer to work! I’ve never actually changed out of part before. In this case, I got a new computer and I always get them overbuilt but what I wanted did not have enough RAM and the cost from the manufacturer was insane and not necessarily a quality product So I took the plunge and decided to do it myself and at least on my ThinkPad. It was very easy. Attach the antistatic wristband. Open up the back access panel of the computer put in the two memory sticks slide right into easy access slots. Close back up. Done! ... show more

  • I have 192GB RAM (2 sets of these kits) running on my new Asrock Z890 motherboard I have 192GB RAM (2 sets of these kits) running on my new Asrock Z890 motherboard
Size: 96GB Kit (2x48GB) Style: 5600MHz
I bought an Asrock Taichi Lite Z890, within literally minutes of its release. I intended to have 192GB RAM from the beginning. I’m in to video editing (DaVinci Resolve) and AI photo editing. Occasional VM. I’m no gamer / overclocker by any stretch. When you check OVL for this MB; there are currently only 4 DIMM brands/models which 4-slot DIMM config is tested by Asrock. Technically; you are expected to buy a tested set of 4 (from manufacturer) which guarantees exact match of all timing characteristics between 4 modules. Currently only Corsair Vengeance sell set of 4x48GB DIMMs for about $600. Instead, I settled on Crucial CP48G56C46U5.C16B and decided to go on two steps. I first bough a pair of 48GB (96GB kit no: CP2K48G56C46U5). These are 5600MHz DIMMs which happened to have both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO support (unlike Corsair). All 48GB brand DIMM modules have inherently “2R” layout (two rows of chips on the board. Read: you have to sacrifice speed – for that capacity). When you look at Asrock web site; for this MB it warns you that for 2DPC 2R (read: 4 DIMM modules in use – all 2R); motherboard will only let you run them on 4400 MHz natively. You can overclock that config to 5800 MHz+, which I have no intention of doing, at least yet. Whereas if you only use 2 of above same modules (1DPC 2R); you can use them at their native 5600 MHz (or overclock to 6800+ MHz). Long story short; I plugged in my first pair (in to slots A2, B2) and booted up. In about 20 seconds MB very correctly tested them and settled on exact suggested profile (see pics). You really don’t need to engage XMP, as it is exactly same as JEDEC profile. I run benchmarking tests, using Aida64 (see attached). Same day I ordered a second pair of Crucial CP2K48G56C46U5. I plugged them in to slots A1, B1. Power on after a short prayer (!); another about 20 seconds and Asrock very smoothly settles on to expected 4400 MHz frequency. Followed by another set of Aida64 tests; not a single problem. As I intensively searched Intel Z890 chipset months ago; I remember reading that memory controller of Z890 is more robust & capable compared to Z790. That was the reason for me going by 2 separate sets of 2 pair DIMM kits (versus single set of verified 4). It worked for my above configuration. I also saved $120 doing that. Your milage might vary; depending of what MB / RAM you choose. As you look at to Aida64 memory benchmarking tests; by going with 192GB RAM (versus 96GB) I’m losing 25% speed performance on memory read and 28% on memory write. Of course; CPU or GPU performance is not affected from that at all. As I’m not a gamer; that’s fair game to me (pun intended?) ... show more

  • It's good if it makes it to your door
Size: 128GB Kit (2x64GB) Style: 5600MHz
Works as a charm. It has a nice, slick look if you don't care about the RGB. It works as described with speed and stability. Expo support is just enough for me. With over 128GB of system RAM, I can still browse with the RAM-eating machine, Chrome, while doing some AI generation. It's worth it. I was struggling with just the 32GB earlier after upgrading to a DDR5 PC. I was previously using the 64GB in a DDR4-supported PC. in the recent builds, they say 2 RAM sticks put less straints onto your PC and actually goes faster than the 4 sticks. Which this item is perfect for. ... show more
