Pros 1. Easy to set up. I needed some help because I have a hand injury. But I believe one person can do this easily. 2. All parts available and directions easy to follow. 3. Wind proof so far if secured, and Rain proof. 4. Relatively inexpensive. Cons Not heavy duty. Poles are slim but metal based. Canopy material is also thinly made material. Most likely won't withstand a big storm with high winds. But that's difficult to say with any degree of certainty. I have had two rain storms, mild wind and it was fine. Bottom line is the canopy does what it's made for; to provide some shade. I used it over memorial day and it worked out really well. Only time will tell. This easy up works great. It is easy to put back in the case and has wheels to help with its sole issue, it's weight. It's not super heavy but it's not light either but the wheels make it very easy to use. Set up took just a few minutes and was as easy as could be. Very sturdy stakes, we had a very windy vacation and it barely moved. It also has weights you can use and fill with sand if using it on the beach. Overall VERY happy with this product. ... show more

I got this after searching for easy to set up canopy tents. I didn’t even need to look at instructions to set up. You just take out the box and it’s like opening up an umbrella! Everything was packaged nicely. You can set up solo but having two people is quick and easiest. We used it for a block party we had and added some weights on the legs and it was AMAZING! Kept us cool under the shade the whole day and saved us from the heat and sun. Later in the evening it even rained and this held up well! Definitely recommend and has wheels to move around and store after you pack up! We got the 10x10 size so it’s pretty large and in color white. Looks so nice ! ... show more

I'm an art photographer, and I use this for art shows. First setup (picture) was under a porch roof, but I already own a set of side curtains for rain. I'm 68, and my previous canopy required 2 people to set up. This one was an absolute pleasure - I set it up myself with very little strength or trouble required. The canopy has a number of little features I haven't seen before to secure it in place, and the air vents at the top look very good. The sandbags are sturdy and well-designed. Now, I may have some comments about durability once I've done a year's worth of art shows - the plastic leg locks don't look as sturdy as the metal ones I've seen before - but for now, after the first use, I couldn't be more pleased. ... show more

Wow! Protection from the summer sun and the rain! This is a good investment for me. I'm grateful that there were videos available on how to set it up, as they helped me a great deal. You don't have to be Doctor Octopus to set this up; I did so all by myself and it worked just fine. Two people would be nice, but not necessary. The instructions are really easy to understand, and there's a summary of the instructions on the storage bag that comes with it in case you forget something. I really enjoyed that. There are two plastic bullet-shaped tips attached to the bag (by canvas extensions) meant to keep the legs and the bag together during storage or moving, and it's really neat. One could easily forget how to store the tent in conjunction with the bag, so I just took a picture to remind myself. Yes, the tarp portion has to be installed on the frame. I've used this a couple times, and my main reason for purchasing it was for my trips to the beach. I took one on yesterday, and it worked just fine. Word of advice... putting the legs underneath sand without the metal stays that come with it (or the bags intended for weight distribution) is not a good idea. I was in the water, and I looked back and noticed that someone (the wind) moved the entire tent!! I was like "What?! WHO has the NERVE to MOVE my #$%@ after all my hard work?!" I got out and saw lines in the sand! LOL!!! Well, I proceeded to put the stays in each of the plastic ports, and it didn't move anymore. (= Even when it started to rain (at an angle), it still provided protection for me. But most important was shade from the sun. It's got a neat 'exhaust' port at the top that allows for circulation and ventilation, and that's better that the port is in place. Major likes: 1). Design 2). Color of the tent 3). Easy to assemble 4). Doesn't take up too much space Now... on to my gripes: 1). There are multiple small receptacles meant to fit around a cylindrical head to attach the tent to the frame. They stay in place, but when the wind was blowing yesterday, one kept coming off. I put it back in place when I was preparing to leave (and storing the tent back into its bag), but it kept being stubborn! The others were fine, and eventually, I found a way to keep it in its place. Those U-shaped receptacles are rubber/plastic (?) and not sturdy enough; they may eventually loosen over time. 2). This tent is an attractant for flies. I noticed it when I initially set it up... there were two flies in my rear patio (where I unboxed the item), and I NEVER get flies in there. I thought to myself 'Did these jokers come packaged with this tent?!' but then I thought it was just a coincidence. After the initial setup, I noticed there was another fly underneath the tent! "Okay. This is ridiculous." I advised the fly to leave before I stored the tent in the bed of my truck. Whether or not it did? I do not know. On yesterday at the beach, there were about 4-5 flies underneath the tent AGAIN! And it's always the small ones! My deduction? They're attracted to something underneath there, and it ain't me! LOL!!! XD 3). This tent could've been preassembled by the manufacturer. What gives?! Overall, it's a great investment. The wheels are awesome to be used, but only on a hard surface... I didn't even try to drag that thing through the sand cause it's not that light; I sat it up on my right shoulder and walked on through the sand. I worry about their longevity, though. Oh! The size of the tent! It's perfect! You can get it even taller if you'd like with the clamps that lock in place. I'm 6'6" and I did bump my head on the top portion of it, but I could've set it higher if I felt. The mechanism that locks it in place? Mwaa! Magnifico! Okay. That's it for me. It's almost unbelievable how easy this is to set up. Everything is so nice and easy. It's strong and there is no peices to put together which I hate. This is a must buy. Just buy it. The canopy on top you do attach that but it's so simple and it actually had nice red straps and velcro. Nothing about this is made cheap even though this isnt that expensive. It's definitely worth what you pay and I'd even buy it again if it went up in price. We got two so far ... show more

This sun shade is incredibly easy to set up and put away. It has been brought to the lake, the river and camping and is extremely sturdy. I love the center push up feature of this canopy shade, no more having to forcefully pull the outer sides like an accordion and risk breaking the metal frame for the canopy. You simply pull it open enough to get under it, push up on the middle hand button and push up until it locks. That extends the entire unit without putting any additional force on the frame. It is super easy to raise and lower the legs and we have been able to leave our canopy fabric attached when we put it away and pop it open in a minute directly from the bag. This is one of the best canopy's I have owned. It was priced a bit more then the usual brand name I buy and It exceeds my expectations for a sun canopy, especially since you need a good one in Texas.
