The frame broke beyond repair after the first rain event after setting this up on my patio. This was purchased to protect my table and chairs and grill from sun and rain. All the velcro tabs were secured to the frame and the fabric was tight. Water still gathered on the canopy and collapsed the frame. One a side note, the canopy fabric held up quite nicely during wind and rain. Frame is a piece of junk. $140 down the drain. UPDATE: After writing the above review, I have been contacted by the company and they are sending me a new canopy. Once I receive the new canopy, I will update my review again. UPDATE: I received my new replacement canopy and frame. I have changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars for such excellent customer service. I’ll update my review at the end of the summer to see if the replacement canopy lasts longer than a couple weeks. UPDATE: April 26, 2019 I have used the new canopy multiple times through the heavy rainy season we’ve had in the south this year. It has stood up to all the rainy weather. I must have got a bad frame because the replacement that was sent to me is working great.

I'm a woman pushing 70. The description of easy set up sounded too good to be true, but I purchased it any way. No lie...I opened the box, set up the shade, inspected it, took it down and packed it in the rolling case; all in about 45 minutes, and this was by myself! The material looks and feels to be of a good quality. I love the levers for adjusting the legs, sure beat trying to push in the little metal buttons with my fingers on lesser quality shades. I didn't notice the "air vent" at the top; probably too confused from comparing too many shades. This seems to be a very 'no brainer' plus because wind gusts have an escape hatch. It was a bit more than I have paid for shades in the past, but as far as I am concerned it is well worth it. I highly recommend this shade.

I go through a lot of canopies since I acquired my Beach House. It take care of my canopies, I wash them down with a hose after every use, rinse the sand out of the foot/legs and ensure everything is in good shape before storing the system. I've gone through 3 canopies in the last year and a half so I know and understand what to look for in a quality system now. Here are my top 10 reasons why THIS - Crown Shades is the BEST canopy for the money: > High Quality Joints and hinges > Metal Feet large enough for weights > Easy lift & secure pop-up button > Velcro security straps 12 of them > Reinforced material at each velcro > Ventilation Wind Tunnel at Top > Additional Ventilation each side > Easy Leg Lift Button & Lock-in holes > Straight Legs (Better than Angled) > Extra Tie-Down Flaps (or Flag Fliers) So what I have discovered about straight Vs. angled legs is that 10 X 10 is often more shade than 12 x 12. This is because if you look at the measurements 12 x 12 is not the Canopy or Tent measurement, it is the measurement of the angled legs fully extended. So it takes up more space than it gives shade. Even more important, with straight legs you can secure them in the same place whether you are leaving your canopy in the down position or in the fully raised position. This is a huge benefit for windy Beach environment or when leaving your tent out / unattended for extended times (on a windy beach). The ventilation is also a huge benefit, for the same reasons. Usually a weak point on these canopies are the joints and hinges, moreover the stress that is put on them when lifting or taking down the canopy. This one has that awesome pop-up button and secure lock mechanism that reduces stress on the very well made joints and hinges as well as makes it super easy for one person to put the tent up in under one minute. In short this, in my observation based opinion is the BEST canopy system for the money. I hope this review helps you make the decision I made. I am happy with our decision and will enjoy this canopy for as long as it last (knowing these things have limited life regardless of how well you take care of them). This one is the best I have used and I will look to eventually replace this one with another Crown Shades Straight Leg Canopy. I also paid for the extended warranty (highly recommended)

I bought this tent because it had the central hub system, which means I can push it up from underneath myself. When it arrived my hubby and I put it up together and then took it down. Then I put it up myself and then took it down. I am 5"2 and am able to put this pop up tent up by myself. Today I did a market fair and I was successful in putting it up, I struggled a little bit due to it was on pavement and I couldn't get it to stretch out without me pulling it towards me. I fixed that problem by putting the weights,( I also ordered )on the two ends and then was able to stretch it out and then pop it up. I recommend this tent for anyone having to put up by themselves.

I originally left a pretty negative review. The canopy was too small and did not fit without the seams starting to rip. I contacted the seller and asked them to send me a new canopy as mine was defective. They wrote back and said they'd do that and would send the fastest possible way. Yesterday, I got an entirely new tent. I haven't gotten to try it out, but you can't get much better customer service. I don't feel I can give 4 stars because of the canopy on the first tent, but I'm increasing my stars to four because good customer service is so hard to come by nowadays.
