  • Worth the investment for our musical instruments.
This stand works as needed to make the transition between two instruments such as tenor and sporano saxophones easier during school concerts. Our son is pleased with it. The price is reasonable and we love the ability to pack it in its own bag! The brand is reliable brand for musical stands, we have purchased a few of them! Thank You! ... show more

  • Solid Stand for Two
Very well built, solid stand for two instruments; alto and a soprano saxophones will fit. The stand is of decent weight and very sturdy, so it will not fall over by itself. Though it’s compact, the decent weight makes it slightly heavy, but it’s at the perfect balance of quality and compactness making it an excellent product. A better quality carry bag would be appreciated, however, it’s a minor issue that can be easily remedied by throwing it in a backpack. ... show more

  • Is the design portable and easy for setup for gigs/home use to easily swap for ...
There are only a few things I needed to know before I purchased this Alto/Tenor stand. 1. Did it hold my Tenor and Soprano properly? 2. Would this particular stand work properly on different surfaces? 3. Is the design portable and easy for setup for gigs/home use to easily swap for doubled soprano? Answer is .......... Yes! This particular stand is very compact, snaps into place and holds my equipment perfectly. Given that the feet sit flush to the ground, it creates a balance that keeps the instruments from wobbling while on the stand. I currently use as my pro setup a Yamaha 62-iii tenor, and an allora paris (woodwind and brasswind pro model) soprano. I am attaching a photo so you can see the setup. This stand is a great value and allows me to swap instruments with ease and securely without fear of the instruments falling. ... show more

  • The soprano peg is awesome, too
After years of using other stands, I finally decided to go with this recommendation from a friend after my tenor got knocked off the stand by a soft bump at a gig. This thing cradles my horns. I tried to push my tenor off the side (while holding it) and it would barely budge on the stand. The soprano peg is awesome, too. There is a little fastener at the bottom that lets you slide the base up or down until the ball and the base line up and keep your soprano secure as well. I only tried it with my soprano, so I am not sure what else it may hold securely. The pieces extend and lock into place with small ball bearing snap locks. You press on the ball to release and collapse the stand. I wish I had bought this stand years ago. It would have saved me some repair bills over the years! I have been playing for over 20 years, and this is the strongest, most well-constructed stand I have encountered. It breaks down easily and the small carrying bag wits in my backpack or other packs I use. ... show more

  • Hercules stands are durable, easy to transport, and versatile with their multiple peg attachments
My son plays multiple instruments for his school bands and these Hercules stands are perfect and durable (folded and unfolded multiple times for transport) for him to be able to put his instruments on so they are ready for him to pick up and play. We also purchased the Hercules DS502B Flute/Clarinet Peg to go on this stand. I would recommend these stands, they have definitely met expectation and beyond as other students have borrowed them as well. ... show more

  • A very good stand
I needed a decent stand for my alto and soprano for summer outside concerts. This is a very sturdy stand which had no problem being stable on uneven blacktop and grass. It held both my soprano and alto quite securely though as with other stands you need to be careful when putting the alto bell between the U shaped holder, just to make sure that it is fully in. I like that it folds small, fits into it's own small bag. The only reason why I did not rate it 5 stars is because I'm not particularly fond of the paint scheme...I would rather have the whole stand black. ... show more
