For the money a decent product Took us about 6 hours to assemble but we have done a lot of assembly this past year so we are pretty competent I thought the directions were clear and concise At least on par with ikea directions The furniture board was decent We did take the time to glue everything and I think that will help with durability One board was not drilled but it was an easy fix once we were sure it was a manufacturing issue not our human error There were several areas of stress that I initially was worried about but additional brackets were provided that really strengthened those areas I do think that in pulling the bed in and out we will be careful to finesse the bed If pushed or pulled too hard I think you could damage the slides or the pull outs Mattress seems decent but no one has slept on it so take that for what it is worth Overall the appearance and finish of the bed was surprisingly good Again For the money a great product ... show more

This thing is mostly partical board. It took me about 7 hours to put together, by myself. It is pretty sturdy once it's put together. It works as it should, looks nice and sleeps surprisingly good. This bed is just fine. HOWEVER the drawer , although large, is pretty flimsy on the bottom. And please don't be fooled - this took us HOURS to assemble. (about 6). And this was by two people who have experience assembling all sorts of furniture. Over 70 pieces of wood and hardware and OVER 200 screws. The screw driver they give you should be ignored. It is far too small to grasp and get good pressure on the screw head. We had one FINISHING screw that was completely mangled and no extras provided (we improvised but the only screws you see do not match). This thing is HEAVY. You need two people to carry the two boxes that hold bed pieces. Hoping this will last. I am not sure I would buy this one again simply because of the assembly time - and the instructions only get a C. ... show more

Be prepared—it takes about six hours to assemble. I put it together by myself, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Before I started, I laid out all of the pieces and hardware, which made the process much smoother. I also glued the wooden dowels for added stability. The finished bed is sturdy, functional, and well-built. The mattress is comfortable, and the storage drawer is surprisingly spacious. If you need a murphy bed, this will do the job. Like most people have said, it takes a while to assemble. My wife and I spent about 3 hours assembling it, but we expected that after reading other reviews. The instructions are clear, just make sure you open all the boxes, numerically lay everything out and go 1 step at a time. This thing is held together by wood screws, dowels and spin-lock pins, and made of particle board, so don't expect to be passing it down to the grandchildren. We had some guests sleep on it and they said it was surprisingly comfortable; we bought the mattress that comes with it (queen size). Its design is pretty neat because it all really does just fold up and away, and it's not too big. Would have given 5 stars but like I said, I don't expect it to stay in one piece for more than 5 years. ... show more

Instructions were clear and easy to follow. I’m a single female who set it up and put it together myself. Very nice set up and I get tons of compliments. I haven’t actually slept in it but I have laid on it and seems more comfortable than a blow up. It’s a bit heavy so make sure you put it together where you want it if you’re doing it alone. Beautiful bed! Looks exactly as pictured. It was a long building process, but if you take your time and get it right, it works perfectly! Great for a hidden guest bed. The trifold mattress first perfectly and the drawer is big enough for bedding and pillow storage. I love that it has an outlet too. Great price for how nice it is! ... show more
