  • Replaced my old Audio Tech LP60
Style: T150A Color: White
I bought this turntable and speaker combo along with one of the “all in one” turntables that Crosley has made for a long time. The other turntable is a Patriarch, and it’s actually more of a record player with CD and other functions built-in. It is much more basic in terms of features and I left a review for it as well. The Patriarch fills a much different role for us, but we like both set-ups quite a bit after a couple of weeks of spinning our old vinyl. I purchased this T150 in white mainly because I had seen it on display at a store near my house and had a chance to play with it before ordering. What ultimately made purchase it was it uses the same needle and cartridge as my old turntable, an Audio Technica LP60. The Audio Technica was is at least five years old and finally gave out on me and I had at least two or three replacement needles on hand for it. I paid about the same for this turntable and speaker combo and I did the LP60 alone, and it adds Bluetooth, a better tonearm and a metal turntable platter. The turntable base is plastic (the same at my LP60), but the platter that spins the records is metal. I looked around to see if I could buy just the turntable without the speakers, but it doesn’t appear as if it’s available. I played it for a week or so with the speakers, and it’s really good. I hooked up the T150 base to where my old LP60 sat, and it blew me away. It’s running through Edifier speakers, which are powered and I can’t believe I get the sound that I do for under $200.00 on the full set-up, including the Edifier speakers. The sound is much warmer, and tonearm can be adjusted for weight, and I really like the white, as its in an office where it matches the other components. I wish it had a dustcover, but it gets played often enough I don’t have much issue and we don’t store vinyl on it. I had someone come by my office who is really into vinyl and turntables and he said the tonearm was similar to his brand, which is a Rega. Rega’s start hundreds of dollars ahead of what I paid for the full system. He mentioned that I’d be able to swap out the needles and cartridges for others now, but with at least two replacements in the drawer, I think we’ll keep our existing and I have no complaints at all on the sound. I’d buy this again, and I wish it were available with just the turntable. ... show more

  • Clean and sleek look, easy to setup, bluetooth and pitch control are great
Style: T150B - Audio Grade Plinth Color: White
Overall I like this product a lot. The setup was very easy. Although I have a lot of experience with speaker wires, even for someone who hasn't I don't personally believe it's that complex to figure out given the provided directions. Color coordination is a simple concept. The unit itself looks very clean. You could say not having a dust guard is a negative, but that would also take away from the sleek and clean look, so you have to choose which is more important to you. One of the issues I do have is the counterweight on the tonearm, there aren't any real clear instructions to actually properly set it it seems, and unless you're well-versed in record players (which I am not) it's difficult to figure out how to properly adjust it so that it doesn't damage the records and also provides the best result sound-wise. The only other critique I'd say is that the speakers are lacking in terms of any real presence of bass and lower frequencies even when playing off my phone via bluetooth, but at the same time they aren't concert speakers, they're speakers for a record player so it's not that big of a gripe nor is it too unexpected. Sound quality is great otherwise, and the pitch control works fluidly. The speaker wires provided could be a little longer, but again, you can go buy cheap speaker wire if it a real issue for you. Overall I would definitely recommend it to others, and I already have. I will try to add pictures and/or video later. ... show more

  • Love this turntable
Style: T150A Color: Black
I'm impressed with this - especially considering the price. My records sound amazing - and I'm happy that it uses a common needle so it will be easy to replace if I ever need to. Another plus: you don't need a receiver or amplifier - you can play records on this as-is. The sound from these speakers is surprisingly good. When I'm not listening to records on this, I am using the blue-tooth to stream music from spotify through these speakers and it sounds better than any other stereo I have right now. ... show more

  • Great value, sound & flexibility! Would buy again.
Style: T150A Color: Black
I’ve been playing around with my T150 for over a week now, and I’m very happy with my purchase. I use it in an office and it’s the perfect size for a bedroom or office. If you have a larger room, you can hook it up to any system through the RCA jacks on the back of the turntable. I actually did that this past weekend and was blown away by the sound quality. The speakers that come with it are fine for “bookshelf” use and I don’t suspect they are all that expensive, but when hooked up to my older Marantz amp, it sounded great. It’s already back in my office and fine with the original speakers. If I would change anything, I’d add a dustcover, but I knew it didn’t have one when I ordered it. The turntable arm and platter are both aluminum and belt driven. The Bluetooth addition is nice, but I don’t use it that much. The cartridge is the same for an Audio Technica turntable I have at home, which costs about twice as much, so I think they went for the right parts on this one. It’s not the best turntable I’ve ever owned, but you get a ton of value for the money and I’m happy with my purchase. I started out with a turntable way below this one, and if you are buying a turntable for the first time, this is a great choice because of the flexibility it gives you and the sound quality it’s capable of. ... show more

  • Skips like crazy.
Style: T150C - Audio Grade Plinth, NP-15 Needle Color: White
I got this turntable thinking it would be more budget-friendly than buying an Audio Technica LP60 with speakers since that came out to $40 more expensive than the Crosley T150C. but after receiving the Crosley T150C I was immediately disappointed when it was skipping and skating all over my record when I laid down the needle. I immediately pulled the needle up because I don't want to damage my record at all and I haven't touched it since. I dont know if I got a defective model, but this seems to be a common issue. Returning ASAP and paying that extra $40 for an LP60X and some nice bookshelf speakers instead. I recommend not buying this if you care about your records at all. Spend a little more, get a little more. ... show more
