  • Great for just 200 bucks.
Style: Turntable
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this turntable it plays my records great. I only bought it to finally listen to all my video game records such as the one i chose to demo. I recommend this unit for first time or intermediate LP collectors. However it does have a phono preamp built in, so if you want a naked analog output you may want to look elsewhere. As for me who isn’t a hardcore audiophile this record player perfectly suits me, and i know it will be perfect for anyone looking to get into record keeping. Ok so i recently bought a cork mat for it, and it truly did improve the sound quality. After owning it for a while and breaking in the cartridge I can confirm the the AT 3600 is a great match for this turntable. Now people may wonder if you can upgrade the cartridge to an Ortofon 2m Red/Blue. The answer yes after checking the VTA it matches the needed specs for the 2m series. I am currently waiting for my 2m blue to arrive. ... show more

  • Really like the looks, the sounds, and the price
Style: Turntable
The media could not be loaded. The C8 arrived in a box much heavier than I was expecting, and I saw why when I opened it, as there is literally couple of inches of wood under the turntable platter. It is built very well, and took only 5 or 10 minutes to set-up. I’ll admit I bought it mostly for looks, but I love the way it sounds as well. I’ve been through a pretty big mix of my music in the last couple of weeks, and it’s easy to set-up and operate. I actually purchased this with the “matching” Crosley powered Bluetooth speakers, and will review those separately. They match the system perfectly, and if you need Bluetooth, they work great. I almost didn’t order this because it didn’t have Bluetooth, but ended up getting it in the speakers and I like it. We’ve ended up using the Bluetooth more than the turntable, as my daughter likes to stream her phone through it. If you do switch quite a bit between 45 and LP records, you’ll like the easy switch they mounted on the front. I have boxes of 45s I’m working on getting through, and play great on the turntable. Five stars all-around from me! ... show more

  • Excellent sound without breaking the bank.
Style: Turntable
The media could not be loaded. If you are just starting to listen to vinyls or are just a season audiophile this turntable will not disappoint. I started to listen to vinyls again and did a lot of research looking for a turntable that would sound great without breaking my bank and Im glad that I decided on the C8. Boy was I surprise as to the quality of the sound and the quality of the product. The C8 looks better and sound better that some of the more expensive turntables. It doesn't have the auto shutoff that some other turntables have but not a deal breaker for me (sound quality is). The RPM's were spot on right out of the box...thanks Crosley for the great workmanship. I waited a few months before deciding to post a review cause I wanted to make sure I actually used the product on different albums with different music genres. My C8 is combine with my Bose sound bar and the sound is excellent. I did have to ground the turntable because I was getting a humming sound once in a while.(feedback). ... show more

  • Great For The Price
Style: Turntable
At $200 or less, this is a great turntable. I highly suspect that this turntable is actually made by Fluance, contracted by Crosley. If you compare it to Fluance's line of turntables, they are extremely similar. The main difference is, the Crosley C8 at $200 is better than the Fluance RT80 at $200. The crosley C8 has features you can find on not just the RT80, but RT81 and even RT82. You are basically getting an RT80 with RT81 and RT82 features for the same exact price. It's a great bargain. The sound is great, the counter balance and set up is fairly easy (there are videos on youtube on how to set up the Crosley C8), and the look of the thing rocks. I have this hooked up to my stereo Elac Debut 2.0 6.2s, and the sound is way better than my old vintage turntable. All in all I recommend it. Amazing beginner turntable for the price. Everything you need to start spinning records. Get it. ... show more

  • Excellent product
Style: Turntable
Very impressed for the price threshold. We primarily listen to symphonic music and this turntable brings out the entire tonal range of an orchestra. It is a very enjoyable experience to have this music be reproduced with rich fidelity. It is almost like being in a concert hall but our listening area can't match a real auditorium. The sound quality is clear and true and exciting. Chamber music, solo piano repertoire, symphonic music, opera, solo guitar all sound great. My favorite so far has been Shostakovich's 15th Symphony. This turntable uniquely brought that work to life! ... show more

  • fantastic turntable - great starter option
Style: Turntable
Great turntable. We love the look which is very cool and stylish. Sound is great, there is some feedback from speakers at higher volumes, but one does get this with most analog equipment. I would recommend this turntable to anyone wanting to get into records and looking at something under $200. There's a lot of talk on youtube and online about Crosleys turntables being sub quality. With my experience this is simply not true. Set up is simple, follow the steps or look online for guidance. My kids are fascinated by this retro style of music playing and we love it. Please reach out with questions, I'm happy to help. ... show more

  • Beautifully Simple and Clean
Style: Turntable
Although this will technically be MY first turntable, I have had the opportunity to listen and play with many others over the years as I am a bit of an audiophile. The plinth is beautifully constructed. Glass dust cover is sleek. I have had the table for a bit over 2 weeks now and can attest she does sound pretty great. I have this table paired with a set of Martin Logan Motion 15's and Onkyo R-N855 Stereo Reciever. Overall build quality and sound is all there. Would recommend to someone who's is looking to get into vinyl. Great first record player! People have asked what I paid for it and are pretty shocked when I tell them. Looks far more hi-end than the price tag. ... show more
