Many metal pieces were not perfectly aligned for the screws. It took quiet a while to build because of it. The wood look is made by a paperlike coating and not perfectly sealed on. This makes me worry that it will easily rip quickly. It looks good, if it wasn't in my guest room I would not have kept it.

This wasn't what I would call easy to put together and if your mattress isn't firm or you're not using a box spring then the mattress can slip under the headboard which makes sleeping uncomfortable. Otherwise it's very well built and is very pleasing to the eye with a modern yet rustic design. To combat the bed slipping I put a few slats vertically underneath the mattress and that has so far been a great solution.

I think it's important to remember, that this price point is a budget-friendly point and therefore the quality is not going to be the same as a more expensive bed frame. My husband works in manufacturing so he was able to spot the not-so-great welds, the fact that the metal holes are punched instead of drilled, and there are burrs on the metal pieces which makes them rough/sharp. We wore gloves while assembling to prevent cuts and slivers. The wood headboard also appears to just be wood grain contact paper that has been applied to metal slats. Also, be careful when putting the frame up against the wall. We scratched the paint off the wall because we forgot the end of the bolt and the nut were on the outside and it sticks out from the rest of the frame. The assembly instructions were easy to read for the most part. They included extra hardware which is always nice. We currently have a box spring on it as well as our mattress because we already had both and it seems sturdy even with the extra weight of the box spring. We also have not noticed the frame moving when one of us moves. So if you are in need of a decent budget-friendly bed frame, this one is great! If you are wanting a higher-quality item, this one is probably not for you.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice queen size frame. You don't need a box spring, just a mattress. I used both because I like a high bed. It turned out perfect! I replaced the one I got recently. The headboard pieces were stapled on the previous and broke while we were moving. The headboard on this one is screwed together, yay!!!
