Very impressed with customer service. I used this crock pot for a few months, then for whatever reason it would not heat/ turn on. I was disappointed as this is a great crock pot. Programmed to turn on while at work, food was piping hot and not over cooked. I contacted the manufacturer. They were prompt. Within 24 hours they had shipped a new crock pot. I had a similar size Faberware brand Programable cooker and it cooked great and loved the programable feature. After years it was on its last leg and I looked to replace it. This Crock-Pot 7 looked like it might be even a better cooker...but Like others have reported, the same "clicking" noise is happing with the Crock-Pot cooker that I ordered. Because some suggested, I have tried to fight through it and see if it goes away after using it a few times. But the issue with that is, I haven't been able to get through an entire cook with the Crock-Pot because it doesn't seem to heat properly. It gets ridiculously hot on the outside of the unit to the point where it will burn you if you touch it, but on the inside, it doesn't heat enough to cook properly. This is a lemon if I have ever seen one! Amazon should stop selling this product until Crock-Pot resolves this issue, and take an active part in resolving all these complaints. It is beyond frustrating when buying a product thru Amazon that is less than <$100, and you get it and it is defective. Then it is the hassle of re-boxing, getting return labels, driving it to a drop off or UPS store etc....and then wait for the shipping plus 7-10 days for your card to get credited back. It is frankly not worth some peoples time or frustration. If Crock-Pot wants to make it right with their customers....they should just look at all these 1-star complaints for the same issue, and automatically send you a replacement that works correctly. I doubt that will happen, so I'll just give it a 1-star review, and never buy another Crock-Pot branded product again. It's not worth my time and hassle. I'll just swing by Wal-Mart later this week, they got half a dozen brands sitting on the shelf. I'll grab another brand there. And if I have an issue with it, I can just walk it back in to Wal-Mart and return it and grab another one. ... show more

This is my 3rd slow cooker. The first one, the crock cracked. I had never experienced this before. It was not dropped or banged into anything. Cheaper to buy a new one then replace the crock. Had to buy another one because we use it so much to make dog food and people food. The food is always cooked evenly and fully. We use the manual function mostly but have cooked things overnight so it's ready in the am. It is easy to tote around to pot lucks etc if needed or even moving around the kitchen. Ours basically live on the counter so the stainless steel base looks nice and cleans up well. They are used almost every other day. ... show more
