A. Pros: Well made. Leather uppers. Appearance is quality. Ordered using professional shoe sizing instrument and compared with shoe sizing technique per instructions - both very close in agreement B. Cons: Sizing apparently an issue across many/multiple brands. B.1. Different construction styles need additional dimension size related to breaking/bending point distance from heel. B.1.a. Breaking/bending distance from heel is critical to foot entry. Sliding sole of foot gently across top of shoe heel entry access into shoe. B.1.a.i. In my case, even if I tried to use a shoe horn for easy slip on, my heel was approximately 1-1.25 beyond heel entry position. C. My best suggestion is shop first at a store front for the construction style you want and try on for fit. If you can get construction style and all other aspects you want, BUY IT. If you can get the construction style but not the other aspects you want, make note of the construction style size dimensions and search other sources for your needs. Size is notoriously varied among manufacturers/brands/country of manufacturer/etc. Maybe this will minimize issues and maximize satisfaction. Good luck.

I love these Dockers dress shoes and the price is great! I have had my previous pair for almost 12 years, and they still feel good. However, I needed a new pair since some of the leather on my old pair was peeling off around the top of the shoe. You can't go wrong with Dockers.

Like a majority of the reviewers here, the soles totally got tore up. I work in an office and wear these shoes two to three times a week and the souls are pretty much gone after a year. I have high hopes for these shoes because I am a fan of anything made by Dockers. I will not buy another pair. I'd rather spend the extra money and buy some timberlands.

This is my second pair, and I have a third sitting unopened in the box. These shoe really lasts. In the past I had bought Skechers Oxfords, but with them, the leather peels. With this shoe, leather peeling has not been a problem, despite my using this in wet snow etc. When you wash it and dry it out - it looks like new again, and if you polish it, even better! The soles also last a really long time. I have not had problems with the stitching coming off where the leather meets the sole either. So overall a really solid and really pleasing pair of shoes! About the only con I can think of is, after prolonged use, when the soles wear away, this becomes a tad slippery on ice. There is still life left in the shoe but the lack of traction became the reason for getting a new pair. Interestingly, I was wearing that worn down pair by a campfire and had my feet really close to the fire, and this pitted the bottom giving it traction again - so I think it is possible to retread it once it loses traction with wear - if you're someone who cares about getting the most life out of your shoes - the leather wasn't peeling and the stitching was still intact at this point - well over a year's worth of use including some wandering in spring melt wet soil, and some repeated plodding through snow.
