Packaging was wonderful, product was secure and in perfect condition when I opened it. It looks just as pictured and was a plug in and play situation. It's got a little weight to it, but I think that adds to the stable feeling. I'm enjoying using it and it works very smoothly. The joysticks are very precise feeling and the buttons all press with ease. It's perfect for what I like in a controller and the color is beautiful. I also like that it shifts the charging port up onto the back instead of centered on the bottom.

To get disclaimers out of the way, my main problem with the switch is how thin it is and as mine aged the wiggle of the controllers as well. This grip controller literally solved both of those problems as well as giving me my GameCube nostalgia joy back. It was super easy to “install” and it feels solid to use. I was worried after reading a ton of reviews on not just this brand but others that it would feel bad in my hands, either from a cheap feeling or comfort wise. It feels great. I like that it came with other sticks if you want inverted or stick out tops or to mix and match, the buttons press well and it plays great. I like it has a kickstand but I honestly haven’t used it. Went to install their app but got distracted and haven’t felt the need to use it yet either. Mainly played Diablo so far, don’t own many games since switch is one of the more expensive platforms. Basically I got this to try and use my switch more and make it feel comfortable in my hands and it feels really nice. I know reviews are back and forth and I honestly think that’s because it’s all a preference. Hands are all different we all like different shapes and sizes and so you may not like this but I have smaller hands but too big for the normal joycons to feel comfortable and this solved the comfort issue for me. The media could not be loaded. So I'll admit I waited until these were on sale to get one and I'm sad I did since this product is worth every penny for folks with big hands who have to play in handheld mode a lot. I have the switch Oled and the console slides in very easily, and there is a switch on the rear you need to press to get it out. I have tried other joy con attachments but this beats them all! There is a nice heft to the ckrd that isn't too much weight and on the rear of the console is 4 mappable buttons that are very convenient. The case is sturdy and comes with a very nice USB C, for different thumbsticks with different patterns which are very easily changed, and of course the guide to help you set everything to your preference (I had to turn down the rumble feature a tad). What surprised me was that you would think this would drain the switch's battery but it really doesn't make a difference, even so on the rear are two USB C ports (an input for charging or another wired controller, and an output to use the attachment as it's own wired controller when the switch is docked) I love the retro GameCube design as well. Finally, some people may enjoy the fact that you can connect this go an app and see how "rare" your attachment is by getting the exact product #, manufacturing date, etc. Also you can connect to your pc to get firmware updates when CKRD makes changes and little bug fixes. Overall this has made my gameplay much more comfortable and I will buy another when the Switch 2 comes out if it is not compatible.

I've had the nitro deck for nearly a month now and I waited this long to review it because I wanted to be able to write a review that was informed. I love the nitro deck, but it isn't without some flaws. The rumble is definitely the biggest flaw that I've experienced - it's much too strong and I've had to turn off that function in almost all the games that led you turn it off. The rumble is also incredibly loud and it can be annoying for both you and people near you. The second flaw are the buttons - they're very clicky as other people have mentioned. They don't stick, thankfully, but it sometimes a bit of extra force to press them down. Next up is the right joystick - it's in a bit of an awkward spot for my tiny hands but it was easy to adapt to after a bit of time. The buttons on the back are incredibly annoying though and I wish I could turn them off because I constantly am hitting them and while it doesn't mess up the type of games I play, it could cause problems in games like shooters or games that require precision jumping and probably other kinds of games too. My only other gripe, and this a purely aesthetic complaint, I can't use my cute thumb stick caps on the joysticks. Which while not a deal breaker it is a big downer. But even taking all that into account, I still love the nitro deck. It feels great in my hands and it's nice and solid and it's just generally well made, in my opinion. Is it worth the high price tag this thing has? No, no it isn't. Thankfully, I got mine on sale for $59, not the regular high price. So if you're thinking about buying one, wait for a sale. I ultimately would still recommend it but it's going to come down to personal preference as to whether or not the issues it has are going to bother you.

Bought this one to replace my baby blue retro Nitro Deck. I am in LOVE with it, it reminds me of the crystal orange Gameboy Advance I had as a child. Super Nostalgia hit, very sturdy. My baby blue one had a TINY bit of wiggle in the switch because one of my joycon bars is bent, this one does not. It’s absolutely PERFECT. I also didn’t realize while I was using the baby blue NitroDeck that my eyes were getting tired of looking at the bright plastic. I find the orange less harsh on my eyes, and it looks super well made, where the baby blue always kind of looked like an after market product. Just slide in your screen, wait for the super satisfying click, and GO!! Love the programmable/turbo buttons, and the battery passthrough charging is on POINTE!! Also I have pretty bad carpel tunnel, and this case is SO comfortable.
