The bed looks good until you go to assemble it. The bed rails are stripped at the female site of the screws making it impossible to properly screw in the bed rails to the headboard. We tried reinserting the female screw into the bed rails with a mallet but it’s use less once you screw the headboard and the side rails together they simply fall right off because it’s stripped and has no grip to keep it together. This makes the bed completely unsafe as it will simply collapse. Unfortunately for me, we didn’t realize it until it was too late to return the product because we were still remodeling and. Y the time we assembled the bed my return window had passed. It’s a piece of junk in that sense. The wood is nice, and the design of the bed is nice. But if you can’t assemble it properly and safely it’s useless. The bed completely collapsed while my family member was on it!! I have to throw it out or replace the side rails which would not be worth the hassle to try and match the wood color. I’m going to see if I can buy some sort of bracket to assemble the rails to the headboard securely. Otherwise I have to throw it out. Waste of time money and effort.

This bed is sturdy and looks great. It wasn't easy, but with the help of a couple yoga blocks to prop up one side or the other, I was able to assemble the king size frame by myself in a few hours. Assembly would be much easier/faster with a spare pair of hands.

We should have learned after the first experience assembling this bed. The first bed we over tightened headboard bolts causing inserts connecting side rails to pull free. Had to glue inserts into place, and add extra side rail to headboard hardware to repair. The second bed the headboard became wobbly from just moving assembled bed into position. Had to disassemble headboard from side rails to glue inserts back into side rails, and add same extra hardware to repair. Only reason for 3 stars is because the beds do look very nice in Grandmas' grandkids bedroom. Once extra hardware is installed the beds are very stable. Otherwise we would have rated 1 star.

Intended to order a queen size but somehow got a king size. Ok, I’ll use it on my king mattress. As soon as I started unboxing it I see that the headboard was split, ok it’s going back, lug 80lbs back down the stairs. I’m giving 2 stars simply because Amazon isn’t charging return shipping.

We bought this bed frame for our son's first college apartment. It seemed weak when we put it together, but we thought it would hold up. Within three months, it was creaking and wobbling, and two weeks ago, it broke while my son was sleeping on it. He was hurt when it crashed. It can't be repaired; we're throwing it out. It's very poor quality.
