  • Strong Laser, Full Grip, and Very Comfortable
Style: Red Laser
This review is for Crimson Trace LG-350 Lasergrips (Red Laser). I have used multiple Crimson Trace Lasergrips, and I have found all of them to be excellent. These are no exception to that. The laser is strong and easy to see. The installation was very easy and straightforward. I wish they would provide a torque setting for the screws, but I just go until the screws are snug. I was surprised that I get a full hand grip on these Lasergrips. My entire pinky just barely fits the grip, and that is a positive. The grip is just big enough for a complete hand grip without being anything larger than that. It obviously protrudes past the stock grip, so that is something you will have to weigh the pros and cons on. The J-frame does look comically undersized in this grip. There is significant cushioning between your hand and the rear of the frame. I find this grip to be an excellent solution if you want fast J-frame target acquisition, a full-size grip, and need a grip that will reduce felt recoil. In terms of felt recoil, my thoughts are this is good for someone who is very recoil sensitive and will be using lighter rounds, or for someone who is planning to use magnum rounds in a lightweight J-frame. This might also be a good grip option for someone who perhaps has hand ailments and needs a full-size grip like this that has recoil absorption. Overall, the quality, laser, and grip are all excellent, and it is up to you to decide if this is the best option for your application. On a side note, there is a green laser version of this grip. I have yet to try a green laser, but by all accounts, and everything I have read, green lasers are superior in being visible to the human eye, particularly in bright conditions. The downside of the green laser is that it costs more and uses more energy. The green laser version of this grip uses four batteries (instead of two for the red) and has half the run time. The red laser has a 4-hour run time, and the green laser has a 2-hour run time. ... show more

  • If you can afford the size increase in your carry method, this is a game changer.
Style: Red Laser
I like it. At first I thought it had a problem because the main switch would turn the laser on/off but the activation button did nothing. It worked like those with a constant on or off switch. But after I turned it off for a while and back on, it worked as expected using the grip mounted activation pad. Nothing in literature about why that may have occurred. Stays on for sighting in period? Who knows. I take off a half point for this though. It takes some pressure to activate the laser, but I feel that it takes a lot of pressure to keep a good grip on the 642 with plus P loads, so I end up gripping it hard enough to work. I believe those who say they can't deal with this, though. I have to squeeze it pretty good. I have fairly big hands and this changed everything from the TALO small wooden grip. I can actually get a full hand on it. It gives this small snubbie a full size gun feel. BUT... the concealment is much more difficult and you can feel the larger bulk and heavier weight. Pocket carry is no longer an option, and even 2 and 3 O'clock position OWB carry prints significantly under coats and jackets. The smaller TALO grip did not. You may have to change the way you carry your gun. Still getting used to the bigger overall package. Amazing what a big difference a small increase makes. Draw is significantly improved and speed increased. Very quick grip acquisition through the thumb break to the firing position with ZERO reposition of grip. You grab it exactly how you will shoot it. The surface is grippy, It could grab some people's clothes, but for OWB carry, it was excellent. 6 stars for draw/grip acquisition and recoil reduction. I am not all that talented, and I am shocked at how fast I can go from thinking about drawing to having my hand up and in perfect firing and natural follow up position (and that dot on target.) It jumps into my grip as soon as my outer garment clears the thumb break and the trigger finger falls in line as it comes up. I can't emphasize this enough. I had gotten pretty ok with the factory sights, so accuracy improvement at 21 feet and closer was negligible. But at 50 feet it was very helpful. At any distance, it allows me to take my focus off of the front sight/target picture and get on target fast while keeping a greater overall situational awareness. There is a small (fraction of inch) gap/space between the back of the frame and the grip that looks like it is misfit at first, but when you look at it closely, you see that nothing can enter the frame, and the space is a continuation of the overall shock reduction system. It can be installed and removed quickly, so if I need to fall back on my tiny grip for deep concealment I always can. But I'll probably just drop to an LCP and leave this great grip on my J frame full time. If there is any concern, it is just getting used to the new activation pad design and how hard you have to squeeze it. Seems ok for now. ... show more

  • Go for it
Style: Red Laser
Absolutely fantastic. Showed up early, fit perfectly, easy to put on. Makes the grip larger which is better for control, both in my hand and my wife's. Laser comes out right by the right hand index finger when gripped in the right hand, so anyone trained to keep their finger outside the trigger guard will have to keep that in mind; it works, you're just blocking it with your finger. There is an opening at the back-top of the grip just under the hammer; this is intentional, and after ten minutes you'll stop noticing it. Great buy, highly recommend. ... show more

  • If your thinking about it just buy it. You won't be sorry.
Style: Red Laser
Easy to install. I like the fact that it is slightly larger than the factory grip on my S&W . So much easier targeting with the laser. Great price compared to crimson trace website. I like the master on / off switch on the bottom and the grip switch turns it on easily with your natural shooting grip. rear addition that immediately tightens your groups. ... show more

  • Adds More Length to Revolver Handle
Style: Green Laser
Stock handle too short for holding correctly. This model extends the length to allow for little fingers and it is a "green" laser. Green is much easier to see in daylight. - Installing was a quick and took about 10 minutes. - Sighting in was easy, just check for rough alignment at home with chamber clear and then finalize at a target at the range. ... show more

  • Daily carry
Style: Green Laser
Great grip. While I do not much like rubber grips, these handle better than most and appear to be of two different densities. Easy to sight the laser as well.
