For wifi setup: start with holding the down arrow for 8 seconds. They have it at the end. That works best. Beautiful stat, lots of info on screen, easy to setup or adjust on the stat or through the app.

    • Feature-Rich but Lacking for Specialized Setups: A Tale of My Creawonlas WiFi Thermostat Experience
Bought this Creawonlas WiFi Thermostat to pair up with my heat-pump system. First thing, installation was straightforward and the C-wire adapter that came included was a nice touch. The interface? Visually appealing and user-friendly. It's got voice control integration with Alexa and Google Home, which is pretty slick if you're into that kind of thing. Now, here's the kicker for me. My heat-pump uses a variable speed motor, which is a bit more sophisticated than your run-of-the-mill system. Unfortunately, my installer couldn't get this thermostat to play nice with that feature. It's not the thermostat's fault per se; it's designed for simpler systems and does that job well. But in my case, it was like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. So, while it's got some really good points, like voice control and an easy-to-use interface, it falls a bit short for my specific setup. If your heat-pump system is less complex, you'll probably have a better experience than I did. But if you're rocking a system with a variable speed motor like mine, you might want to look elsewhere.     • Decent thermostat but I'm concerned about it's accuracy

This is a really sleek looking thermostat. I had my AC guy install it for $100 while he was fixing an AC issue. I will preface this by saying that it has been over 100 degrees where I live almost every day this summer. My main issue is that the temperature will not get low enough. If I set it below about 72, it will not reach temperature and shut off. The absolute lowest it will go is 72, but most of the time it's between 73-75 no matter what I set it at. I've never had this issue before, and I don't know for certain if it's an issue with my ac or with the thermostat itself. The AC company has been out multiple times and has found no issue with anything, so it could just be the extreme heat. To compare, I put my old thermostat on top of it to compare temperatures, and they're consistently only about 1-2 degrees off at times. I'm not knocking any stars off for any of this, because it seems to be working as well as it can, and I love the sleek design. It's incredibly easy to program and use. The app though, is utter garbage. It's the main reason I wanted this thermostat in the first place. I love the idea of being able to control it remotely. However, the app is constantly losing contact with the thermostat, and it doesn't keep up well with the current temperature. It's very laggy. I do like the sheer amount of customization that is available, but it's not reliable in the slightest. ... show more

Yo, I gotta say, this thermostat is straight fire! It looks hella sleek on my wall, no cap. Installation was a breeze, and I didn't even need to mess with that C-line converter thingy. The Smart Life app is legit, dawg, but it does get a bit glitchy at times. The touch screen could be more responsive, but it gets the job done. Only thing I'm not feeling is the 24-hour clock, I need that 12-hour swag. Overall, this thermostat is a solid upgrade ... show more

    • Easy to Install, and I love the voice control through Alexa!
We originally chose this unit because we were having issues with one of the zones (our general living area) in our house and thought the thermostat may have been the cause. It ended up not being the problem, so we decided to install this in the zone where our bedrooms are. We control several home functions through Alexa, but had not yet moved to the thermostat being one of them. That seems to be the area where we actually do change the temperature on a regular basis, and no one wants to get settled into bed and then realize that you're either too hot or too cold and have to get back up to adjust the temperature. This unit has solved the problem of figuring out whose time it was to get up to set it. It's an attractive unit, easy to install (if you've ever installed a thermostat, you know it's a simple task). Our Heat Pump unit is older, so we did not need the C wire, but if you have a newer unit, it does comes with it. I saw others who said the temps were not accurate, but there is a way to calibrate the temperature. It paired easily with Alexa through the SmartLife app, which we already used for our garage door. I work from home, and we have elderly dogs in the house, so we don't set routines where we adjust temps every day based on being away from home, but it does have that capability, though I can't speak to that use. What I can say is that it's very nice to be able to use voice commands to raise or lower temps. The lighted digital controls are attractive and the unit is sleek looking on the wall. ... show more

The thermostat is easy to install once you figure out the wires you have. It has wiring for multi-stage units so only use the ones numbered 1 if you don't have a multi-stage installation. Once installed, adding it to the app was fairly straight forward although it did take a couple of tries. Also, adding it to Alexa is not documented but is easily done within the app. ... show more
