It does it's job, and it does it well. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I have a roll of clear TPU I had sitting in a non-air-tight bag for about 6 years in the basement and decided to see how bad moisture impacted it. (It was really bad, as can be seen in one of my pictures.) Threw it in the drier with the recommended settings and got impressive results; it dried out the filament and made it printable again. I also recently purchased a spool of Elegoo rapid PETG to try out the brand and was disappointed with its performance out of the box as it was laden with moisture. I would have been annoyed and writing an email to support because I had an unusable spool of filament, but this drier came in to save the day. Now I'm just annoyed, but at least I have a usable spool of filament. Having saved two spools and used this to guarantee an additional two spools in my collection were good to work with before large prints, I can say my investment has already paid off. (Included in my review are also thermal images of the drier running; it's pretty interesting to see the channel the hot air is blown through by the fans and how it heats the spools.) I am however disappointed with the quality of the touchscreen; it feels very cheap, has visual artifacts when pressing on it, and mine arrived cracked. (You can see some hairline cracks light up in the display itself when pressing on the screen to use the interface and they go away after a few seconds.) The screen is still fully functional, just looks bad when you need to touch it.

as someone who prints nearly daily across multiple filament types, i’ve tried all the usual hacks to keep filament dry—ziplock bags with desiccants, makeshift dryer boxes, constant re-drying in the oven. it’s exhausting, inconsistent, and let’s be honest… not great for filament longevity. enter the creality space pi 4x. i wasn’t sure what to expect, but within the first 48 hours, i knew this was a total game-changer for my setup. 🔧 build quality and design the unit feels rock solid. no cheap plastics, no flimsy parts. everything from the touchscreen to the heating chamber is well thought out. the design is compact and efficient—it doesn’t take up too much bench space, but still accommodates a wide range of spool sizes. you can tell this was designed by people who actually print. bonus points for the transparent window—makes it easy to visually check your filament without opening the lid and losing heat/humidity stability. 🌡️ performance & heat distribution this is where it shines. the ptc heating system is super efficient and fast. it reaches target temps quickly and holds them consistently throughout the drying cycle. the 360° hot air circulation makes a noticeable difference—no more hot spots or uneven drying like you get with cheaper alternatives. paired with the real-time digital humidity/temp monitor, i’m able to dial in precise settings depending on the filament type and ambient conditions. this is key for me since i print both in a climate-controlled shop and in a garage environment where temps fluctuate. 🎛️ ease of use & presets setup is completely painless. the touch interface is clean, intuitive, and actually responsive (which is rare on machines like this). the built-in presets for common filament types (pla, petg, abs, nylon, tpu, etc) are accurate and a great starting point, especially for users who may not know the ideal drying temps. you also get full manual control, so for more sensitive or exotic filaments, you can dial in exact settings and even save them. the 48-hour programmable timer means i can start a cycle overnight and have fresh, dry filament waiting for me the next morning. i also appreciate the memory recovery feature—it resumes your settings if there’s a power outage mid-cycle. smart. 🧪 real-world results before the space pi, i’d been battling inconsistent extrusion and random first-layer issues—especially with tpu, petg, and older rolls of pla. after running my spools through this dryer for even just 4–6 hours, i saw immediate improvements: cleaner extrusion reduced stringing and oozing tighter bridging and finer detail smoother first layers no more crackling filament noises it's also helped reduce the number of failed prints due to moisture—something that’s hard to quantify but makes a huge difference when you're printing time-sensitive or client-facing work. 🧠 smart extras works with both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament low noise during operation (not silent, but no louder than a quiet fan) small side access port for feeding filament while drying—great for feeding directly into the printer on long prints this turns it from just a drying chamber into a full filament management system. 🧡 wishlist and a little pitch if i had to nitpick: maybe a second spool slot in future versions, or an integrated desiccant refresh system would be cool. but honestly, at this price point and performance level? it’s already punching above its weight. to Creality: this is one of the most useful, well-designed tools you’ve released in a while. it directly improves the quality and consistency of prints, and you clearly built it with serious makers in mind. if you're ever looking for field testers or review partners for upcoming gear, i’d be honored to help out—this review is just the start. and to Amazon Vine or product reviewers' programs: this is the kind of product that deserves attention. real utility, solid build, clear impact. 🏁 final verdict whether you’re a hobbyist or a print farm operator, the creality pi 4x filament dryer is an essential upgrade. it does exactly what it promises and more. better prints, less frustration, and way more confidence that your filament is dialed in and ready to go. 5 stars, no hesitation.

bought this stuff for my new printer and really like it! my printer likes eating the stuff and having the RFID chip inside is pretty cool for insta-ID of filament and color as well as operating well in my CFS.

the Install for my k1se was pretty smooth and everything made sense. In terms of the CFS it does its job and it will auto feed well. Though it does seem like a few filaments have trouble and not because of the filament itself but certain spool brands just don’t fit in there well but other multifilament systems like this have the same issue so meh. Still great and works well with most of what i print with and keeps with other brands with similar multicolor filament systems
