Read several reviews on 3D printer review sites about filament dryers and this one is consistently top rated. I was having loads of trouble printing PETG that was more than a month old, and this completely resolved my issues. I run it for about 10 hours before printing, and my filament is printing perfectly again. I leave it attached to my printed with the included PTFE tubing. The filament unspools easily and feeds nicely into the printer. Also great for keeping dust and debris off the filament. Easy to use, just big enough to hold the filament without taking up loads of space. Only complaint is that the rear opening lid means you quite a bit of space behind the dryer to load filament, and if you have it on a shelf it could be difficult to get the filament over top. Only complaint is that there is not a stopper for the tubing so over time it will creep down into the dryer and cause some feeding issues. A dab of hot glue around the PTFE tube where it is inserted into the dryer will prevent this issue.

Gets the job done with minimal fuss, have had great results so far with some old spools of PETG. One star off for some wonky timer behavior; I wouldn't rely on the auto shut-off. I've had it just continue drying past 00:00 on several occasions, with the timer counting up after that point like it's going into negative numbers. Otherwise it's been perfectly functional and dries filament effectively. Only goes up to 65C so not suitable for some higher-temp "engineering" plastics, but handles PLA, TPU, and PETG just fine. Good value for money compared to other dryers I've seen.

I added the Creality Space Pi Filament Dryer to my 3D printing setup, and it has quickly become one of the most reliable tools on my bench. I print with PLA, PETG, and TPU regularly, and this dryer has made a noticeable difference in print consistency and surface quality. Build Quality & Design The unit feels solid and well‑engineered. The touchscreen is responsive, the interface is simple to navigate, and the chamber has plenty of room for standard spools without rubbing or binding. The overall design looks clean next to my printers and doesn’t take up unnecessary space. Heating Performance This is where the Space Pi really shines. The 360° PTC heating system distributes heat evenly across the entire spool, not just one side. It reaches temperature quickly and maintains it without big fluctuations. After a drying cycle, my filament feeds smoother and prints with fewer pops, bubbles, or stringing. For PETG and TPU especially, the improvement is obvious. Humidity & Drying Results While I don’t rely heavily on the built‑in humidity reading, the actual drying performance is excellent. Filament that used to give me inconsistent extrusion now prints cleanly after a few hours in this dryer. Even older spools that absorbed moisture revived nicely. The chamber seals well, and the heat stays consistent throughout the cycle. Daily Use It’s quiet, easy to load, and simple to operate. The timer and temperature controls are straightforward, and the unit doesn’t overheat or give off any odd smells. It’s a true “set it and forget it” tool that fits naturally into a 3D printing workflow. I am giving this filament dryer 5 stars. This has become an important part of my 3D printing workflow. The dryer was easy to set up, and the controls are straightforward to use. I simply set the temperature and timer, allow the unit to reach the desired humidity level, feed the filament directly to my FlashForge printer, and start printing. One of the things I appreciate most is that I can leave the dryer running throughout the print. Keeping the filament dry during the entire printing process has helped eliminate moisture-related issues and has resulted in more consistent print quality. Whether I'm printing for a few hours or working on a longer project, I know my filament is staying in good condition. The display is easy to read, and the touch-screen controls make adjustments quick and simple. The unit heats efficiently and does exactly what it is designed to do. My only minor complaint is threading the filament through the outlet. It can be a little awkward at times and takes some patience, especially when changing spools. Once the filament is loaded, however, the dryer performs very well. Overall, this is an excellent filament dryer that is easy to use, works reliably, and has helped improve my printing results. I would definitely recommend it to anyone serious about 3D printing.

I own two of these. Generally I like them, but they have two flaws that could be deal breakers for some people. The big one: Because of the way these are designed, I HIGHLY recommend not feeding your filament through these dryers when doing a multi-color print. When your printer switches filaments, it backs off the previous filament in order to load the new one. When retracting the filament, the printer pushes it backwards a few inches. Since these dryers don't have reverse-tension on the spools (the spools just sit loosely on top of free spinning rails), the filament just gets backed up inside the ptfe tubes since the printer is pushing the filament, but the spool isn't pulling. This results in filaments breaks INSIDE your ptfe tube which is an enormous pain to clear out. This has happened to me more than a couple times. Now I ONLY use these dryers for 1) drying and 2) printing single colors prints. If I'm going to print multicolor, I take the spool out and load it straight onto the side of my AD5X. The other flaw) The heat vent that blows hot air into the chamber blows directly onto one spot on the filament spool. The air that comes out of those vents can be upwards of 70C (even if your chamber temp is only set to 55C let's say. It'll blow air hotter than 55C and simply turn the heater off and on in order to maintain that set 55C temp.) Blowing 70C+ air onto some filaments is baaaaaaaaaaad. TPU I'm looking at you. There are models available for printing air deflectors which work quite well, but the fact they designed it this way is a bit annoying.
