Finally assembled but I have yet to square the frame and insure all bolts are tight and wiring secure. My Ender 3 Pro had some issues that I was unaware of when I first received it from Creality in China. So this time, preventative maintenance even if it IS 100%, I gotta know. Peace of mind and all that. HIGHLY recommended machine! I was unaware that there was an S1 Pro, but my budget wouldn't have handled it anyway. Sleep easy if you buy this Ender 3 S1. ... show more

The unit went together fairly well. The leveling video is hard to follow. I had to slow it down and pause it to get the gist of it and it still took some trial and error. I loaded the first part and it appears to work as expected. I’m tech-savvy but I have no experience with 3D printing. The included filament was not labeled so I guessed PLA and that seemed to work. No instructions were included to recommend how to remove the completed part nor how I should clean or store the unit between uses. As a novice I would give this 5 stars for the ability to make a good part on the first try but I gave it 4 stars for the sketchy instructions. ... show more

I like how easy it was to setup. I ended up upgrading the hotend so it can handle printing higher printing temp filament. It's really easy to use compared to my older printer. Prints turn out way better with little issues. One complaint would be that there wasn't insulation under the build plate so ended up ordering one. Another complaint is the bed level knobs loosen over time but there's plenty of prints online that can stop that from happening. ... show more

    • Build Quality of Pre-Assembled Components
I’ve only had this product for a few days, so I can’t discuss many facets for review. However, what I can say is give the pre assembled components a once over. My sprite extruder sub-assembly was completely unsquare with its components resulting in the fan to have a low end (not parallel to build plate). It was bad enough that none of my prints could make it past the first layer. Might update, but I mainly wanted to put this warning out. 5/24/2023 Since my first post, Creality has reached out to me to offer assistance in fixing my printer. They were helpful in troubleshooting the matter, and they were quick and courteous in their responses. Ultimately, I was able to fix the machine and have since done several successful PLA prints.     • Very good printer for the price
This is an excellent printer for the price. Keep in mind you need to learn the settings and may have to do some tweaking on your own. Only 4 stars because my PSU was garbage, but it was an easy swap when I bought a better one

    • Scrap the built plate
Save yourself some headache and get a textured pei build plate for it right off the bat. Factory plate is garbage. 60-70% of the factory files won't even print, not with glue stick or anything. Tried it with ender filament too. Junk. My other ender max neo printer runs flawlessly. This one has had to set until new build plate arrives. ... show more

    • Simple to assemble, simple to use, good prints.
My buddy and I both bought the Ender 3 S1 at the same time. I've built custom 3D printers, he had never touched one. We both are impressed with the product engineering of these inexpensive printers and the quality of the printed item. Very easy to assemble and use. I'm not fond of the Creality version of Cura so I used the real thing. Config files for the S1 were in the library and prints were great right out of the box. ... show more

    • Wrong main board

I bought this in June and have been really enjoying it until today when I tried to update the firmware and now it won’t do anything at all. The websites I read said that could happen if you accidentally put the wrong firmware on. Well I looked at the noard to double check I didn’t get the wrong firmware and it turns out I would have had the right firmware if the printer had the board it was supposed to have but it doesn’t. All documentation points at this board belonging to an ender 5 s1 not my ender 3 s1. I’m not a happy camper right now trying to figure out what the heck I’m supposed to do to address the issue! As far as I can tell my only option is to buy the right board and possibly a screen as well since I have the knob interface not the touch screen. I’ll probably trash if and get something from a more reputable supplier I guess . Not really sure who since I thought creality was fairly mainstream and solid but…… ... show more
