I have an Einstar as well, and this has been better to use in terms of scanning details. Using it for automotive parts reverse engineering. Software seems to be easy enough to use as well. My only complaint is the automerge has rarely worked, but manually merging parts is no problem, so could be the complexity of my parts. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

First of all, I am not saying this product is bad, but this is what I experienced. I ordered this a few days ago thinking it was one of top line items on the market. Well, when I connected to my laptop and plugged in power for it, nothing was recognized and a Greenlight was going on and off constant. I really could not find a solution that covers that problem. I pushed buttons, shook it and did a "Work for me spell". Nothing changed. So, I go researching again, even on You Tube, no luck. I did notice Camera Depth in device manager had a yellow triangle. Could not find much on that neither. Oh yeah, I tried it on my iPad, and you guess it, no recognition. It may be a good product and maybe there is something I missed but it was way too much stress trying to figure out ways to update firmware, etc. So, I sent it back today. someone needs to be figuring something out and make updates easier.

It’s nice but pay the extra money and get the Raptor Pro. Be sure to get the wireless bridge that’s sold separately, it makes scanning a breeze.

I started with a Ferret Pro...wasnt happy with the results. I bit the bullet and bought this expensive Raptor while it was on sale for like $300 off. It scans great, good detail, but the Creality Scan software needs some fixing. If you're into 3D printing and want a good scanner, I would recommend this. Your final scan will need some clean up. And make sure to buy tons of reflective markers and 3d print some marker bases to help improve scanning.

Bought this scanner for work and at first was very impressed by the results. They were incredible for the price of the scanner. Honestly, the blue light outperformed scanners we were testing in the 100K range. Used it ~10-20 times across 2 months. Then we upgraded to the most recent version of the software and the scanner stopped working. The Creality Scan would think it was scanning, but the scanner its self appeared to be in a sleep state. We have emailed Creality many times across several weeks, but they have yet to respond to an email. Now we are stuck with a ~1500 paperweight.
