This scanner does a very poor job creating a color map image. When I contacted support and sent them a video of the scanning process the reply was it "looked fine". I sent them a scan from a Revopoint MetroX that was clear of the same object. I think it was ignored because it was so much better that the one their scanner produced. The software would crash regularly while scanning was another drawback. No support was the final straw so I returned it. Remember you only have 30 days or you could be stuck with a scanner that does not work and no technical support

did not work on win 11 until i was able to update the firmware using a macbook... Tech service is awfull and a waste of time. I suggest to use another brand

As expensive as this product is you would think it would have better software. This software sucks and I decided to return the product rather than try to try a find workarounds to the issues encountered.

Bought this to supplement the other scanners I already own. Out of the box I was unable to get it to work with any of the three high end computers I own that already host other competitor scanners, VR systems, high end USB devices etc. Creality support pages, online forums (like Reddit) and other FAQ advice led to no solutions that worked. I spent WAY too much of my time over a full weekend trying to resolve something that should just work out of the box, but it doesn't. Returned for full refund. First and last time trying any Creality product.

Calibrated multiple times and it would lose tracking all the time. Started spinning in circles. No way to check measurements without exporting. Also got a blue screen with it. Bought to be used in professional environment but this is just a nonfunctional toy.

Like every other product released by Creality, this product fails to make it through to the final outcome satisfactorily. They make so much crap, at a diarrhea-pace, that it is not surprising to me that after purchasing this CR-Scan Raptor, it was unfit for real use. The main issues were with the software, which truly sucks and is not anywhere close to the improvement that influencers like CNC Kitchen claims. Frequent crashing on my M1Ultra Studio with 128gb of RAM makes simple scans infuriating. And such a limited output option of only STL or OBJ makes working with the files in modeling apps a nightmare - with the files being useful only for basic alignment (which could be done with a simple caliper). Indeed, on the use-case CNC Kitchen showed, simply measuring the back of the AC unit would have taken just a few minutes and yielded the same results (better accuracy even). Once Creality hires some talented software designers and completely remakes their CR-Scan app, it might be a worthwhile purchase. Now, though, it is money well-wasted.

Tried working with this thing for 2 days now. Everything is updated but the software just sucks so bad. It crashes frequently, and when it does provide a scan the results are not anywhere close to our more expensive unit. And that is even after carefully applying registration dots and even matte scan spray. Comes in a huge box but what a disappointment.
