I was kind of skeptical about the comfort and sturdiness after the mattress unfolded and inflated, thinking that I made a big mistake because it looked flimsy. I began considering another purchase but decided to give it a try especially since I just purchased it and needed a mattress to sleep on after moving all day. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised when I laid on the mattress and slept very well. Considering I was completely exhausted from moving, I did not consider the first night of sleeping on the mattress as reliable. Even though it was listed as a firm it's still softer than one I bought onlline about 10 years ago. Hotel mattresses make my girlfriends joints ache but this one does not, so score a point for this one. It's comfortable for me but I'm not too picky about what I sleep on either. Probably as comfortable as those name brand $4000 mattresses, though I'll never know for sure. It’s not the greatest mattress in the world but I just got up from my first night sleeping on it and it was fine. The only thing to be aware of: you can’t sleep anywhere near the end of the mattress or you will roll right on to the floor!

I purchased this mattress for our guest bedroom. We chose this mattress because of all the wonderful reviews. Unboxing the mattress was straightforward. The mattress DID NOT smell like some other mattresses I’ve ordered in the past. The mattress itself is definitely a little on the softer side. We’ve had multiple guests sleep on the mattress and all have said it’s quite comfortable. That said, if you sit on the side or corner of the mattress, you may slide off. This mattress was one of the most affordable ones I could find with some of the best reviews on amazon. It is definitely comfortable. There seem to be springs in it which give it a nice support. It is not a super firm mattress like some I have tried, but a nice balance in between soft and hard. I sleep on my back mostly but occasionally on my side as well. You could just sleep on the floor or I got a cheap bed frame on amazon that works well. You don't need a box spring. ... show more
