This is the favorite of all the string trimmers I've used. It's very easy to assemble. It only took me 10 or 15 minutes including unpackaging it. The cut-off blade can be moved for an 11" swath instead of 13", though I don't know why you'd want to do that. It's very light and easy to handle; the easiest to handle string trimmer I've ever had. It has a push button to advance the string, which I absolutely love! Good riddance to the "bump" method. There are 2 speeds. I only run it on high. I don't see the point in a low speed and the battery life was plenty for what I needed to complete my lawn. I like that it's from the Craftsman V20 series. I also have the V20 Tire Inflator and it's convenient to use the same battery and charger for both. It has a single string instead of two. I wondered if this would be a problem but I didn't even notice any difference from having 2 strings. One thing I'm happy about is that the string never pulled back into the spool hole as sometimes happens when you string trim. I love it! ... show more

Item came quickly. Thank you. Was bundled with .065 twine ---- which we bought ----- only to be told in the book and the box that we should only use .080 twine. Something tangled in twine spool and won't release as it should. Other than that, works fine.

This weedeater worked great. We loved everything about it. For about 6 weeks!! I bought it on the 15 of May and went to use it a couple days ago and it won't work. It won't do anything. We have a couple batteries tried them both same result. The batteries work in different tools so I know it's not that. Extremely disappointed, I thought it would at least last it's first summer, but we used it maybe 4 times between then and July 4th. ... show more

Brushless powertools are awesome. Craftsman is definitely no Milwaukee but definitely an affordable option. I was impressed by how much power this has, even with only 1 cutting string. Battery last long enough to cover all my regular trimming around the house.

Good value for the money. Very easy to assemble. The position of the handle can be adjusted for your height. When using it on low, the battery lasts for 70 to 75 minutes. When you use it on high for heavier cutting, it doesn't last as long. It's nice to have the extra power when you need it. Only problem I have is the cord release doesn't work efficiently. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. I have to take off the cap to advance the string. ☹️ The battery charger that it comes with takes a long time to recharge 3-4 hours.
