THere is a reason why tend to purchase Amazon recommended items. After reviewing all the string trimmers (many) I settled on This Craftsman. First use, I was very pleased with assembly, quality, and performance. THe battery has more than enough juice to trim my suburban yard, and enough power to trim aroung lawns, garages, fences, shrubs, etc.. Weighs less than my old two stroke, quieter, easier to operate. The line feed may be a bit finicky, but not so much to outweigh the good aspects. This is the favorite of all the string trimmers I've used. It's very easy to assemble. It only took me 10 or 15 minutes including unpackaging it. The cut-off blade can be moved for an 11" swath instead of 13", though I don't know why you'd want to do that. It's very light and easy to handle; the easiest to handle string trimmer I've ever had. It has a push button to advance the string, which I absolutely love! Good riddance to the "bump" method. There are 2 speeds. I only run it on high. I don't see the point in a low speed and the battery life was plenty for what I needed to complete my lawn. I like that it's from the Craftsman V20 series. I also have the V20 Tire Inflator and it's convenient to use the same battery and charger for both. It has a single string instead of two. I wondered if this would be a problem but I didn't even notice any difference from having 2 strings. One thing I'm happy about is that the string never pulled back into the spool hole as sometimes happens when you string trim. I love it! ... show more

Trimmer is a nice weight, easy to handle, cuts down grass and medium size weeds pretty well. Thicker weeds take some extra effort. Charger easy to use. Only problem so far is that the set of 3 extra spools bundled with this trimmer are the wrong type - they are a thinner line than what the trimmer manual says to use. Correct replacement spools are CMZST080 - .080" twist line. The trimmer write up on Amazon should say this but it does not. ... show more

Item came quickly. Thank you. Was bundled with .065 twine ---- which we bought ----- only to be told in the book and the box that we should only use .080 twine. Something tangled in twine spool and won't release as it should. Other than that, works fine.

Craftsman Model CMCST930 I appreciate the no gas exhaust stink, way less noise, reliable. No temperamental carburetor to mess with beginning every season like gas old trimmer. The 20V Battery needed recharge on new Craftsman trimmer at about 45 minutes of heavy use (knee-high weeds), first weeding of the season. I liked the Light weight, which is easier on my back and shoulders. With a recharged battery, I resumed trimming short grass around trees. Trimmer died again, battery indicator says full charge. Bad news, Trimmer motor won't start anymore, don't know why. ... show more

I am very happy with the weed wacker. It surprised me with how long the battery lasts on a single charge and the power of the trimmer was very impressive. I also liked how light it is, it has enough weight that it doesn't feel cheaply built but its not so heavy that it strains my back.
