The included battery and charger are solid, and I usually get plenty of runtime for light-to-medium cutting tasks before needing a recharge. Overall not a bad chainsaw. I shouldn’t have to say this but I will in case this is great for small (couple inch diameter) branches and limbs. This is not good for bigger jobs It’s a small battery operated chainsaw so you’re not cutting down trees or removing stumps with this little guy. But if you need some basic trimming of small bushes/brush removed it’s not bad. It’s very easy to use I would still use cations when using it. It’s still a chain saw but I had zero problems with it kicking or moving on me. I’m not sure what the batteries are rated to but if you plan on going for a while cutting I’d have some extra batteries on standby and charging. ... show more

This is an absolute must have, especially if you already have a bunch of Craftsman power tools/batteries. I have some trees on my property and this works great for trimming them and cutting up fallen branches etc. I didn't want to spend the money on a gas chainsaw since I wouldn't be using it a lot, and this is perfect for anyone who needs a chainsaw a handful of times a year. I'm able to cut through 6-8in thick branches with ease, and smaller branches cut like butter. Battery life varies based on how heavily you use it, I bought a couple larger batteries to use with it for larger jobs like the stick pile I have pictured below. I love Craftsman tools and I really like this saw. It works for the purpose in which i bought it which was to chop up tree limbs. I love that it is cordless and light. The thing i do not like is that it’s not super powerful especially when the battery is low. The charge doesn’t last super long (maybe an hour if you are doing a lot of cutting). The other thing is the chain keeps coming of the tracks. I had no problem with this right away, but once it happened it seems to continue happening. I purchased the first one and used it very little and it broke. The company warrantied it and I opened the new one yesterday. I used it about 2 hours and all it would do was make noise. I was trimming Lilac bushes which are pretty soft wood. All my other V20 tools work well. So in closing don't buy this chainsaw unless you want to pretend you are cutting something.
