This 10” Craftsman chainsaw has been by far the best battery powered chainsaw I have ver owned. I (not on purpose) have abused it so many times, cutting wood in streams, cutting small 6-8” trees in the pouring rain to get my UTV out of the woods and it has NEVER skipped a beat. I use it with 4-6 amp hour batteries for a bit more oomph and cuts through everything. It’s not quite as convenient to maintain as some other battery chainsaws as it uses a traditional screwdriver & nut blade tension system as opposed to most battery powered saws use all hand operated chain tension systems. If you can get past having to do chain maintenance like a gas saw but with the light weight and ease of a battery powered saw then this saw will NOT disappoint. I have cut down 8” 30ft trees with it on one battery and processed the wood all on one battery. Blades are cheap and easy to get straight from Amazon in 3-packs, it uses normal bar oil and is insanely durable. I have been using mine for over 6-8 months now without any issues. This saw is so good I bought a second one in case Craftsman stops making it. In my mind this is the best UTV, trail and small tree processing chainsaw that you can possibly buy. A+++ ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This battery powered chainsaw works fantastic. It easily cuts small limbs and branches with ease. It is very light weight. My saw however leaks the chainsaw oil from the cap, so unsure why that is, otherwise a fantastic product.

Craftsman has been great to work with on this item. Note: the chain tightening screw is NOT located on the side like it is on most chainsaws. It is located on the front. I had problems with the chainsaw throwing chains until Craftsman educated me on how to tighten the chain on this chainsaw. It works great. No unhealthy exhaust fumes either. It is also very quiet compared to traditional chainsaws; which I am sure my neighbors appreciate. I highly recommend this chainsaw. ... show more

I have many craftsman 20 volt cordless tools so when I ordered this when I became aware of it. I have used it a LOT since my purchase because it is amazingly effective, easy-to-use, easy on batteries, lightweight, and small. It can cut surprisingly large branches, surprisingly easily and quickly. I had used even smaller chainsaws but they did not have an oil reservoir but when I saw that this had one, I gave away the other one and got this. Ok so I have had other electric saws, I own almost ever 20v craftman tool available and this is hands down the best thing they make! I just cut down about 6 trees 6” thick, butter! Battery still was good so I went after the 3 12” trees, again butter! Battery died So put a new on in for the real test. My steel blade on my farm boss was super dull thought I would give this a try on the big 3foot tree. While it wasn’t perfect by any means, took a little time, still fell it with ease! I would recommend this to any non idiot looking for a legit easy to use and super lightweight chainsaw all day! My mom and my sister can run it with ease, the gas ones not so much!
