I researched ratings on garden hoses and found this hose was highly recommended and rated. It was more expensive than others but I decided to purchase. This hose is in fact lightweight and appears to be quite durable. Craftsman professes that the hose is kink proof utilizing their "kink proof technology". I had my doubts as i have found that all hoses kink. Once I unwrapped the hose from its packaging I found the hose did kink. Instructions stated this would happen until the hose was completely untwisted from the packaging and found its shape upon full extension. This was true. To my surprise this hose does not now kink. The hose maintains its integrity, doesn’t harden or worse melt away in the heat. Kinking is more like just a bend that you can easily shake free. After reading several reviews, I decided to purchase this hose and have been generally pleased with its performance. Right out of the box, it’s noticeably flexible, though it does need some time to "breathe" and warm up in order to fully stretch out and not retain its coiled shape. Like most composite hoses made from a mix of plastic, vinyl, or similar materials, it behaves as expected. I’ve found that if you take your time when pulling and unwinding it, the hose functions much more effectively. That said, it does tend to retain its shape in colder temperatures, particularly if it's been stored coiled. I don’t expect it to be perfectly flexible or to straighten itself out completely—this is a common trait among composite hoses. In my experience, the only hoses that consistently lay flat and are ultra-flexible in any condition are all-rubber hoses. However, those come with their own set of drawbacks: they tend to wear out faster and are more vulnerable to UV exposure and other environmental factors. Overall, I find this hose to be a great choice for general use around the garden, driveway, and when washing vehicles. It offers solid performance and good value for the price. ... show more

Very sturdy and durable water hose. It doesn't crack or break. The connectors do not break or separate from the hose. Amazon is the only place we can find this hose in the 100ft size. It's not as flexible as the thinner green type hoses you can buy but it's still flexible enough to maneuver. This hose will be easy enough to store on a rolled hose storage unit as we have done. Good quality hose and I like the ends. they are big enough to be able to get enough torque on them to seal the hose from leaking without needing any tools. Hose will kink but give it a good wipe and they come out. Hose is flexable even in cool weather. great hose. I had another craftsman garden hose at my rv site . Sadly I left it there for the new owner. It was at least 10 years old but worked like new. It would have saved me from having to buy this one if I had just taken it with me. ... show more

Don’t know if I’d trust it being run over, but it seems to be pretty good quality and I like the handle making it easy to install on the spigot for $30.
