  • Great mower for a small yard.
Great mower for a small yard! I picked this up in early 2024 for $220, and it still looks like it's the same price in 2025. If you don't want to pay extra for cordless, or, like me, don't have a good place to charge the battery, this is nice for small yard. Make sure to research the proper gauge extension cord for the length you'll need at 13 amps (I'm using a 50' cord, minimum recommendation for that length is 12 gauge). Make sure when starting the motor to first press and hold the power button on the side then pull the bail handle down which starts the mower. After that you can release the power button. This is the reverse of what I was used to with gas mowers and I was worried it was broken at first. (Maybe read the manual? Nah!) I used it all last season and have used it twice thus far this year with no issues. I've got a flat yard which is mostly grass and I don't get tired pushing it. This is NOT a self-propelled mower but it is light. Mulches well, bag works well and comes on and off easily, height adjustment is easy to use. The handle can be folded down for easy storage but it's a bit of work to do so since it locks into place and there are two thumb screws to tighten it. I wish there were a fast release mechanism for this so it would be faster to fold up for storage. A great thing with an electric mower is it doesn't matter what orientation you store it in, you don't have to worry about gas leaking out! I wouldn't leave this out in the sunlight. The plastic probably wouldn't last long if you do. But if you keep it stored out of the elements and aren't looking to mow a large yard with it then this is a great mower. I've let my grass/weeds grow pretty thick in a couple of spots and it hasn't fully stalled out from anything I've run it over besides a welcome mat I ran over on accident. The mower stalled but survived. The welcome mat was very well mulched, so this thing has a decently powerful motor. Working with a cord can be a little bit of a pain, but if you're able to pay attention to where it is and you plan your route out well then it's not bad. Start close to the outlet and move away from it with each pass and you should be in the clear. ... show more

  • Great electric mower
This is the third electric mower I've owned. I was upgrading from an American Lawn Mower Company 50514 14" 11-Amp Corded Electric Lawn Mower. I originally wasn't sure how long I would have a lawn or how much I would have. I chose this one because it had more power, a wider deck, could cut a taller height and was a known to me brand. The first one I ordered came in the manufacturer box and had clods of mud and grass all over it... clearly used. The motor smoked the first time I turned it on and it didn't cut grass. The replacement did not come in manufacturer packaging and looked like it had some scuff marks on it... so it's possible that this model is like end of life or something because I am ordering 'new' products and only getting used ones. That said, this is a massive improvement over the American Lawn Mower model I am replacing. The first mow of the season would take 45 minutes to an hour generally with the old mower because the grass is wet and long and the moss layer under it is thick and the highest the old mower could cut was 2.5". It took me 15 minutes to knock it out today. Also, there is probably a subjective measurement for sweat and soreness in there somewhere and I'm neither right now. I'm way excited to spend way less time and fewer spoons mowing this year. Whereas the last one was a glorified hunk of plastic, this one uses metal in the right places so definitely feels more solid and quality. The metal bar is a little uncomfortable to hold down and it does take some constant pressure to hold it down. I can see how that could be irritating with arthritis or something but I am already thinking of ways to wrap something around it while I mow so that I don't have to hold it down. Safety first, folks! Definitely buy an extension cord that is rated for AT LEAST 13 AMPS. More than likely the first one I got that was smoking was probably sent back because it burned out because they used an extension cord that was rated for 10 amps or something. It's pretty lightweight given how much more power and width it has on my old one. I saw varying weights and I'm a terrible judge of that but I'd guess 30 lbs or so. To all the reviews that talked about cords getting in the way and the plastic clips : that has nothing to do with this particular mower. Cord management is an electric mower skill set. Laws of physics preclude little plastic clips from helping even a single bit no matter the mower, clip or brand. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Easy to Assembly, Works as Expected, wish it had a mulching blade!
This is a great mower so far, I have used it 3 times.. the one problem I have is the blade activation bar.. its uncomfortable to hold that down while mowing.. it will give your hand calluses.. Also, this mower does not have a mulching blade, so It will leave piles of grass on your lawn that you have to go back over on to mulch up. Also, if you use this mower in the morning on slightly wet high grass, it will bog down on you and it will throw your breaker. Other then that, it is very light weight, and easy to handle, does not need any self assist to push it.. It is also very stylish looking, love the black and the red color combo.. My one other concern is going to be the wheels.. I dont see that they will last for a long time, they look very cheap and flimsy, but so far they are holding up.. ... show more
