  • Great mower for a small yard.
Great mower for a small yard! I picked this up in early 2024 for $220, and it still looks like it's the same price in 2025. If you don't want to pay extra for cordless, or, like me, don't have a good place to charge the battery, this is nice for small yard. Make sure to research the proper gauge extension cord for the length you'll need at 13 amps (I'm using a 50' cord, minimum recommendation for that length is 12 gauge). Make sure when starting the motor to first press and hold the power button on the side then pull the bail handle down which starts the mower. After that you can release the power button. This is the reverse of what I was used to with gas mowers and I was worried it was broken at first. (Maybe read the manual? Nah!) I used it all last season and have used it twice thus far this year with no issues. I've got a flat yard which is mostly grass and I don't get tired pushing it. This is NOT a self-propelled mower but it is light. Mulches well, bag works well and comes on and off easily, height adjustment is easy to use. The handle can be folded down for easy storage but it's a bit of work to do so since it locks into place and there are two thumb screws to tighten it. I wish there were a fast release mechanism for this so it would be faster to fold up for storage. A great thing with an electric mower is it doesn't matter what orientation you store it in, you don't have to worry about gas leaking out! I wouldn't leave this out in the sunlight. The plastic probably wouldn't last long if you do. But if you keep it stored out of the elements and aren't looking to mow a large yard with it then this is a great mower. I've let my grass/weeds grow pretty thick in a couple of spots and it hasn't fully stalled out from anything I've run it over besides a welcome mat I ran over on accident. The mower stalled but survived. The welcome mat was very well mulched, so this thing has a decently powerful motor. Working with a cord can be a little bit of a pain, but if you're able to pay attention to where it is and you plan your route out well then it's not bad. Start close to the outlet and move away from it with each pass and you should be in the clear. ... show more

  • Wow!
Impressed with this powerhouse of a mower. Didn't think it could handle the jungle that was my yard. Hadn't mowed in two years. Blackberry vines were taking over. 2-3 foot tall grass was reforming the prairie back there. Small saplings were becoming real trees, magnificent redwoods even..This princess just handled it like a boss. Shredded it all with no stalls, burps, nothing. It's so light I can pick it up with one arm! I love the handle is tall enough that you can really get a good angle pressing downward for mowing tall stuff. I love the cord has a slot to keep it from getting yanked out. I love it doesn't use gas or those awful batteries made with resources obtained by by slave labor that pollute just as badly that you have to replace constantly. I almost docked it a star because it's not self propelled, but it's *so* light I actually don't miss it! Great mower! ... show more

  • Good for the price, but has some limitations
I've been using this for almost a year now and am fairly satisfied. Yes, cords are a pain in the butt, but it also came in at a price point that worked for me. The motor is perhaps a bit underpowered (low in torque) and struggles with high grass or close trims. You may need to do an initial mow at a higher height then bring it down for a second pass if your lawn has gotten more than 4 inches high. My only real concern is for the longevity of the power switch. It feels very spongy and If anything goes south I'm almost sure that will be the part that has the issue. Helpful hint: Get a velcro cord management strap, secure it to the push bar, then use it to keep the mower on. It's much less fatiguing for your hands then holding the darn lever in place while mowing. ... show more

  • Nice corded electric mower
I need a lightweight mower. This one is great

  • Update
So as my last review indicated, the lawnmower is extremely flimsy and I spoke about how it oddly lifted off the ground in the front. Discovered what the problem is. The bag feels up extremely fast and needs to be emptied at least twice during mowing. A tedious task. My back yard is not that big and my front yard is rather small yet, I had to stop to empty the bag twice in the front yard and 3 times in the back yard. With my old lawnmower, I could get through both front and back with one bag. Beware. I bought this to replace my Greenworks after is stopped working after only 9 months. I thought Craftsman would be a good choice. I was wrong. This thing is made completely of plastic; body, frame, and wheels. Very flimsy. So much so that I thought I would break it just assembling it. Assembly was so so. Not difficult and not particularly easy either. I used it for the first time yesterday. It was more than a chore. When set for a low cut, this thing is almost impossible to push. Set for a higher cut , it’s doable. For some odd reason, the front of the lawnmower won’t stay on the ground. I literally had to basically hold it in way that made the front stay down. I had to lift up on the back while cutting to keep the front down. Add an extension cord to it and the front comes completely off the ground and rests in a backward position. This thing is completely horrible but disassembling and returning would be too much of a hassle. Overall, I would not recommend this at all. ... show more
