This item is a successful form, fit and function replacement for my previous (30 year old) key pad. I'm not sure that the instructions are 100% precise. It took me at least five attempts to get the opener unit to recognize the new wireless key pad - to get it to work I had to press ENTER again at the very end - a step not in the instructions. Contrary to what some people have stated, YOU CAN HAVE THIS WORK ON 2 SEPARATE GARAGE DOORS WITH 2 separate codes!! I programmed this on my double car garage and each door has its own code to open and close. You don’t need two of them for two doors
