  • Craftsman Air Compressor, 10 Gallon Peak 1.8 Horsepower Oil-free Compressor, Max 150 PSI
I've had this compressor for almost one month now. So far, I've used it twice for painting with an HVLP spray gun and it has performed without issue. I have also used it for filling truck tires, also without issue. Overall this compressor is great and does everything I need it to do perfectly. Yes, it makes noise but it is not bad and as long as you are not using it at 2am, the neighbors should not be bothered. Because it is upright, it saves space in the garage/ shop and it is on wheels so it can be moved very easily. As far as I can tell, the Craftsman quality is all there and the only ding that I can give it, is that it is made in China but I knew that going in (wish they were still made in the USA though). This is not my first compressor or shop tool so I feel confident in saying that (just like anything) if you take care of it and clean it after each use, it should last many years. Read the owners manual. ... show more

  • Has lasted me years with no issues!
I have had this bad boy about 5 years now and it still works just as good as the day she come outta the box. Good pressure, gains pressure quickly and has lasted years. Very good compressor

  • Came Damaged BUT
This compressor is super loud, its very easy to use, and so far it seems to be working as it should. It showed up with destroyed wheels, though. The customers service person who helped me get the wheels for it, was no help AT ALL. She was showing me 8in wheels even though i told her they were 5-6in. I didn't have a measuring tape at my disposal, but i used my phone as reference and they were nowhere near 8in. The 8in wheels were free but they ended up being useless to me, and returning them required way more work than it should have so i kept them and just ordered and payed for the correct wheels myself. I Won't fault the product itself based on my experience with customer service. Edit: 2 years later and this thing is a monster! Definitely worth it for a DIYer. Used it with inflating nozzles (obviously), impacts, nail guns etc, yes it’s loud but I’ve yet to run out of air fast enough for the compressor to not be able to fill it back up and I’ve used it on a 1997 Volvo 850 that sat for 5 years in Chicago so it rusted… so you know I needed those impacts and wire brush! ... show more

  • A bit loud
Small but powerful. same HP as the bigger one. It is a little loud. Convenient controls.

  • So far so good
I got lucky, I guess. Came all the way from commiefornia to New Jersey without issue. Delivered by FedEx on-time and without damage. Powered right up and came up to pressure the full 150psi quickly and without getting too warm. Noise level is probably too high for indoor use. This is definitely an outdoor or open garage door compressor. I don't like writing reviews, so "no news is good news" in the future. Unless I get pissed enough by something bad to write an update. ... show more

  • Not as loud as the Craftsman pancake compressor
I read a few different reviews that stated that this Craftsman 10 gallon compressor was "very loud" as it filled with air. I have owned both the Craftsman pancake compressor and this one and in my opinion, the pancake compressor was much louder that this Craftsman 10 gallon compressor. Don't get me wrong, this is an air compressor and it makes a good amount of noise, but it did not produce the same volume of sound as it filled up as the pancake compressor did. Hope that helps. ... show more

  • Does Not Reach 150 PSI, Barely Delivers 30 PSI, Loud & Ineffective
I'm not sure why this lists as 150 PSI. After powering it on and waiting a looooong time for the tank to fill, the engine would stop as the manual states. Turning the nozzle to the max resulted in a 90 PSI spike for 2-3 seconds, then 60 PSI for the same, then it would try to hold steady at 30 PSI -continuously refilling/stopping/refilling. I was unable to accomplish anything with this and it's being returned. If this is normal, why does it list 150 PSI? -Our sprinkler system guy has a massive unit that emits 150 PSI and he thought this may be defective? I'm not sure, but I was only trying to blow water out of a 3/4" distribution line for our RainBird dripping system at lengths no longer than 50 feet and one opening. It failed. -Also, it is unbearably LOUD and the neighbors were certainly glad when I stopped trying with it! ... show more

  • Good Compressor; No Attachments
The compressor was packaged well and started up without problems. Its internal check valve holds tank pressure when the tool valve is off. Its pressure cut off sensor is right on the red, which is good. Why not 5 stars? 1. Warning! It's noisy. 87 decibles is really close to a dangerous noise level (90 decibles) requiring hearing protection. Minus 1 star. 2. It lacked any attachments (hose, nozzles etc.). Begs the question: How does one use an air compressor without attachments? Yes, you now have to buy, separately, the necessary equipment to make this air compressor useful. Really? Minus 1 star. This compressor was given as a Christmas gift, so I enjoyed looking at it until I could buy the attachments. Hence, 3 stars. ... show more
