I didn't realize this massager has a battery versus being wired. That's kind of a game changer for me, as my old one (which broke after a few years of pretty heavy usage) always had to be connected. Then there was always "where is the charger for this thing?". Well, that's a thing of the past with this version. It comes with a standard USB charger, and you can operate the unit without being tethered. When I first realized it was battery-powered, I was worried that it wouldn't be as strong or that the heat wouldn't work well. It seems to work fine - I didn't notice any difference in massaging strength from my old wired unit. Also you can pull down on the straps to have deeper penetration (same as my old massager). This is a little different design than my old one - it has some extra massager arms that kind of massage your head while it massages your neck. I like it. One thing to note is that if you aren't a "direction reading" kind of person, you have to press and HOLD the power button for a few seconds to turn it on. When I first got it, I just pressed it, and nothing happened. It starts with the heat turned on, and if you want to turn it off, you can press the heat button. It's pretty straightforward to use. There aren't a bunch of programs to it, just on/off, heat, two massage modes, and an intensity button.

I'm wearing the massager as I'm typing this review and I have to say it's not too shabby. This is my first using any type of massager so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's all one piece in the box with the charging cable and manual. It took me a minute to figure out how to put it on for the hands free use since I couldn't reach behind me to snap it (put it on like a shoulder harness, with one arm through each side, or snap it behind and pull the massager over your head like putting on a halter top). It has a bit of charge staright out the box aso you can use it right away, but of course its recommended to fully charge it before use. Once I got it on and adjusted, it hurt a bit at first but I don't know if that's because I'm just that tense or not. But after a few minutes and some more adjusting, it began to feel better. It has a heating function which I really like, but I wish there were varying levels to the heat. I could barely feel the heat and I would have loved to make it a little warmer. The massinging motion felt good and it didn't hurt or pinch at all. I think this is a great product and very useful to have on hand.

I have the roller type massager so this one provides more on a finger style feel to the massage. I like that it charges and I'm not tethered to a cord. I don't like that I cannot use it while charging though as weird as that sounds. For me, it does an okay job for massage. I wish it was a bit stronger and I wish I felt it more in the trap area, which is why I got it. I I don't like the clasp. Great idea to have it, so it doesn't fall off your shoulders but the button to release the clasp is very hard to push, especially when it's on you. You should make the straps extra long so people can wrap around the back and then toward the front and clasp in the front. This would also help in making it tighter when needed. I don't feel any heat like at all. There are two modes, one is fluid the other is stop n go. Stop and go is pretty useless. There are two intensity modes which really just affects speed. It's either slow or fast. Slow seems better imo. Fast seems like it just glides atop of skin where as slow seems to manipulate the muscle just slightly better. So my recommendation is three heat modes and actually have heat. Mine doesn't glow when heat is on so I'm not sure my heat is actually working. Extend time of use from ten minutes to 15 minutes. Extend the fingers for the trap area so it makes better back contact. Extend strap so it wraps around torso and locks in the front, not the back. Change the button for clasp. Put some padding on the top portion near the neck so when the person tilts head backward to put pressure for the trap that it hurts less. It's a great concept just needs better execution. I'm 5'6 155lbs. I imagine everyone at different sizes will take to this device differently. This has been my honest experience. Atleast the neck portion wasn't too narrow or too wide and made great contact there.

First, it looks a little strange, its a bit bulky and has some weight to it. Second, I wish I had one sooner. This massager for the neck and shoulders comes with heat along with its kneading massage. It can be strapped to your body or you can hold it with the hand loops. It has a 10 minute timer where it will automatically shut off after 10 minutes. You can choose to have a pulsing kneading motion or a continuous kneading motion. You can have the motion move slowly or a bit faster. The heat can be turned off or on, whichever you prefer. It is wire free, after you charge it there is no wire to worry about getting tangled in. I use this massager with the hand straps. This allows me to move the massager up and down on my neck and shoulders as well as pull it in closer to me or let it fall back a bit. The heat does not appear to be all that hot, it states that its a gentle heat In the range of 42-48 degrees Celsius (107.6-118 degrees Fahrenheit). This massager can also be used on other parts of the body, its not just limited to the neck and shoulder area.

This massager provides a really nice and deep massage. It was at first a bit too rough, but then I got used to it. The deep massage as really nice and I felt better after a single use. That first use was a little tricky, though, because the manual tells you how to operate the device but not put it on. I had to go to the pictures on the product page it understand it. No, your arms don't go through the big loops, your hands do. I found that to be pretty awkward. Running the strap behind my back was also a bit awkward, but once done I could let my arms and hands relax. Once you are wearing it correctly, though, it's very effective. The massager has a good weight to it and the massaging heads and motors are really up to the task of massaging tight muscles. Despite a couple shortcomings, mostly in the manual, it seems like a great relaxation tool to me.
