This is a very heavy-duty tarp, with metal grommets along all edges. It would be useful for many different tasks, and I recommend it. However, I ordered the 10'x12' size to cover my 8'x12' chicken pen, to protect them from hawks and the elements, but I was dismayed to discover that it was quite a bit shorter than 12' in length. It seems to be a bit wider than the stated 10' width, but 10' was already plenty wide enough for my use. I've reconfigured my project and am now only covering a portion of the chicken pen, but I wish the tarp was true to size, since this is less than ideal. If you're not picky about exact sizing, and just need to cover something, then this tarp is an excellent choice. ... show more

I already own one tarp, but I was looking for an additional one to take camping. This was a quick, decently priced option. Now I know why. I used this as a footprint for our 3 man tent. While it provided adequate coverage and was waterproof, there were a couple things that would deter me from purchasing another one. First off and huge pet peeve, the edges don't lay flat, they have a slight pucker and curl up in some areas. This makes it a pain to fold nicely. Also, when it rained, the water pooled in multiple areas. Second, after only 3 days use, there were areas of blue peeling off. I can't see this tarp standing up to the elements if you plan on using it outdoors. It's on the thinner side and doesn't seem very durable. Good option if you need something fairly cheap for a short term basis. ... show more
