The drill bits are on the cheap. They dull out quick. Even on soft yellow pine. They also snap very easy. The stop cup has a nice soft feel and flex to it to not mar the wood. It would have been nice if the locking Allen’s were better positioned to change out bits but it’s a little inconvenient.

For years I have been drilling my pilot holes, then going back with a countersink bit. Had an old self-sinking bit set, but it was unreliable and low quality, and mostly just burned things. Took a chance on this one, and am very glad I did. Changing the bit and setting the desired drilling and countersinking depth takes less than a minute. Then just drill until the guard contacts the surface and stops spinning. Used it for a number of projects already, and every hole has been perfect and uniform. Very pleased with my purchase.

Nice quality sturdy set! But, you would think the set should have the extra 4 small nuts that hold the drill bits to the countersinks! If you need to go to a different size, you need to unscrew and remove the small nut off the countersink completely and screw it on the bit you want to switch to! If you accidently drop the small nut in your shop while having to change it (something you shouldn't have to do) It will probably bounce into the shadow realm where you'll never find it again! Guess go to Home Depot and buy the extra several small nuts with the proper threading that should already be included with the kit! For that reason I gave it 2 stars!
