Unit started making a clicking sound when the flame feature is on. Today 2/7/26 and unfortunately it is one day past the 30 day time allotted to return it. Also note Costway does not honor the one year warranty unless it is purchased from them directly. I purchased this for a couple of reasons. One reason is that we live in Central Florida and while it does get cold here, it’s never cold long enough to justify having the gas turned on in our home fir the central heat (this is our only gas appliance). So, we use space heaters. We also do not have a fire burning fireplace. This unit solves or helps with both of these issues. We also have a large entertainment center that has one large cube made for an old school television that I wanted a fireplace that would fit that opening. This one fits the width perfectly and kind of looks built in. Our space is large and open so it’s too small to warm the entire space but it certainly contributes to warming it up. The look is amazing and it really makes our living room feel more cozy. We have the option of using it with or without heat and there is the option to have regular fireplace coloring or we can change the color. This was ready to use right out of the box where all we had to do was inbox, unwrap, put it in place and plug it in. The remote control allows us to power it on and control all of the effects from the comfort of our couch. We’ve had this just a couple of weeks and so far we love it. ... show more

Use this in my 10 x10 office. Unpacked it plug it in, inserted the batteries in the remote and everything works great. Heats my office from 60 to 75 degrees in about 20 minutes. Looks good and turns off when desired temperature is reached and turns back on when room begins to cool.
