Fun alternative to traditional calendars!
This was not only fun, but it was something we were able to do with our 9 year old daughter. She could do many of them without much help, but there were some that she needed assistance, but the best part was seeing her enthusiasm for opening and creating the next day’s “project.” It states everything you need is included, but there are a few things 99.9% of households will have on hand that are not included. The instruction book was clear and easy to follow and not flimsy, like the box that held each day. This was bothersome because they are all loose and easily spilled, which is not a deal breaker- you could easily find a way to present each day rather than it being so sloppy as we like to have the calendars be part of the decorations. The other downside, is having the instructional book have everyday in there. You have to make sure they do not see days they have not done and hide the book if you have kids that like to peek. It just diminishes the element of surprise. Little annoyances, but easily fixed and this may not be a problem for others. Overall, this is definitely worth it, it is a lot of fun and different than standard calendars. Highly recommend. ... show more

Definitely makes counting down FUN!
So well received by my 9 yr old grandson. He looked forward to andcompleted each and every activity, then sent me photos . It was so fun! The puzzles are challenging but not frustrating.

Eh, this was cool for my son for about 6 days - he lost interest after that...
This was pretty cool (I thought) but my son lost interest after about Day 6 or 7... which was kind of sad... the things were very cool to do but it was hard to do each day before school and then after school, we'd forget some days and I think that's where it got to be hard for us to do and then he lost interest. But it was a cool advent calendar none the less. The few that we did open he did enjoy and I think it would be a great gift for someone into STE(A)M!! Best suited for ages 7-10 I think! :) ... show more

Fun! But requires a lot of extra steps
Purchased this advent calendar over toy and candy ones because it was different and seemed fun. My kids were very excited to receive it! However, most of these require extra materials: measuring spoons, cups, bowls, water, etc and it sort of became a chore to do these every day. We wound up opening them once per week vs. every day because of busy schedules, homework, bed times, and we couldn’t dedicate 15 mins per day to do these including setup and cleanup. If this company were to put out another calendar but most of the days were quick tricks, illusions, or short science experiments with minimal materials, we would purchase it again. ... show more

Fun with the kids
These were fun, simple, and quick experiments to do with my kiddo that he had just the right amount of attention span for. Toss the scraps, keep the tools and start over the next day!

Educational, interactive and fun.
So far it's been super fun even for my teenager who is in all advanced classes. Definitely worth it. Sometimes the less in lesson is better, fun and makes for great memories. CAUTION NOTE: Don't take for granted that these little experiments may be simple and not read the instruction book before doing each experiment!! In the booklet they have the regular instruction and also a factorial. Be sure to read everything! I don't want to tell you what we did, nothing serious came of it and we had fun results but we could have had a few more goes with this experiment if we had not missed the fact note. Nevertheless, it was a great memory and lots of fun. All of them have been so far. My child thinks it's just a blast and can't wait to get home everyday from school and now that school is out can't wait each day to open up one of those little boxes to find out what's next. I was worried at first when I bought this but I'm so glad that l did! Thank you! Great Advent fun!💕 ... show more

Super advent calendar for kids
Bought this for my 7 year old grandson and he is loving it. He tests his new skills on his parents. It’s a fun thing for him to do each day after coming home from school.
