Works as advertised. Looks great. Doesn't take up lots of room on the counter. Once filled with water and turned on it completes a cycle quickly. I toss that first batch thinking it may be cleaner that way. I don't use the machine everyday. I think it would make 27 pounds easily in a 24 hour period. The ice cubes are not as dense, or as large as the cubes that come from the ice maker in the refrigerator. But that can be a good thing, in a glass of water for example. Especially if you like to chew ice. Easily done with these cubes. Not so with the rocks that the fridge makes. Of course the fridge cubes don't melt as fast. Bottom line, this is a great back up ice maker ! My only complaint is emptying the small amount of water in the unit. I pick it up (fairly heavy) and turn it over in a larger fry pan usually. Then wipe the inside with a clean paper towel. Sit a small lid under the cover to vent and speed drying. If you turn the unit over to drain, DO NOT start it for a couple of hours. Give the oil that lubes the compressor time to settle back into the bottom on the unit.

The small ice cubes are small. I like the large ones. Very simple to use and pretty good value for the money. Donโt know what it means by asking about โflavorโ If your water tastes funny then your ice is going to taste funny, has nothing to do with the machine. On that noteโฆ..my ice did not have a flavor.

The description of this ice maker clearly says "Country of Origin โ : โ USA". When our old ice maker died, I searched and searched to find one that was made in the USA. I was even willing to pay more for one Made in the USA. So I thought Country of Origin โ : โ USA, maybe I'd get lucky and it was actually made in the USA. Nope, not even close. As the box clearly states, it's MADE IN CHINA. Pretty deceptive if you ask me. It works fine, the ice tastes fine but that's not the point. I wanted to spend my money on MADE IN THE USA products. No such luck. I will keep trying though.

We purchased this to replace our refrigerator's broken icemaker. It's an attractive little machine and makes ice like R2D2 on steroids. It's been running continuously now for three months without a problem. Yes, it's noisy but you can turn it off at night and in the morning it will produce ice quickly. Great little machine.
