Water your plant about once every 2 weeks with approximately 1/4 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Succulent sit in water or overly soggy soil.The height is approximately 2-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Succulent in a black, 2-inch grower pot. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes.The Succulent is a slow grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to report. To report the Succulent, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. When ordering plants online, of course you always worry about what condition they will be in after a few days in transit. The people who prepared these little succulents for their trip knew what they were doing, though. These plants were packed better than just about any I have ever ordered. They were also easy to unwrap, which may sound silly, but if you've ever struggled to snip six layers of tape from around delicate plants, you know what I mean. The plants themselves look very robust and adorable. The color and shape variety was as described. They are nicely rooted and already in new pots on my porch. I have ordered succulents online from several companies, but I had a couple of bad experiences with one of my favorites, so I decided to take a chance on Costa Farms. I knew the plants would be tiny, which is ok...but at least one looked more like a pup that had been hastily yanked from the parent plant, and appeared more as half of a plant rather than a whole plant. Still, I could work with that. I know that these succulents go through rough treatment in shipping, so I am also prepared for the possibility of bruised and beaten plants (some of which these were). But that's the risk of ordering online. Half of the plants were dry and the other half were soaked. The dealbreaker for me was BUGS. When I pulled the first plant out of the shipping box, the bugs came out with it. In FORCE. They were tiiiiiiiny, fast-moving insects (they looked like white mites of some sort but not mealybugs--however, I'm not yet an expert at identifying the differences). What I do know is that there should be no creatures of any sort enjoying existence at the expense of plants that I paid for. (And they were a bit on the pricey side.) I tried and tried to get photos of the bugs, but they were so tiny and fast that I didn't succeed. I should have taken a video, maybe. But...I am disgusted. I contacted Amazon, following the directions from Costa Farms, and requested a replacement, so we will see if that gets shipped, and without extra passengers. I am really dreading the pricier succulent from Costa (Whale Fin Sansevieria) that should arrive in a couple of days. I know I should have taken the more cautious approach with a new company, but I just got too excited to wait (this was, of course, ordered before the arrival of the bug infested plants). So if the Whale Fin fails and the replacement tinies (should they be shipped) are unhealthy, that's it for me and Costa Farms. Also, lesson learned: open the box and do initial inspection outside, awayyyy from your house if at all possible. At this point, I am going to be walking them to the next block over and opening them on the street (we live in a cul-de-sac) to lessen my stress that any bugs will find their way to my backyard plants or, far worse, my indoor succulents. I'm just so sad about this! What a huge bummer! ... show more

I was worried after reading some of the reviews. I can say the main picture is misleading in that you think you may get some color. Everything was green, which is cool but not like the picture at all. I did get 2 hawthor plans which I loved. Everything was healthy. Lost a part of 1 leaf from crowding, but it's still beautiful. Even got a furry one which I've never seen before. I would order again. Packaging was excellent and well prepared. Would have given 5 stars if there was some color in the bunch. ... show more

I purchased a set of three plants from Costa Farms and was so impressed I decided to get a set of succulents for a new potted garden. So now I'm not too impressed. Compared to the picture Costa Farms uses to advertise this succulent selection, I feel I received a collection from a different company. The plants I received were small, not nearly as robust and the lack of vibrancy in at least one or two of the plants (as shown) is completely lacking. Their picture also shows healthier looking plants than I received with one (the furthest to the left) definitely on death's door. This is after having them for a week and revitalizing them in succulent soil and following the care suggested by the seller. I can not and will not recommend a set of this quality for the price I paid. I feel five of them will make it, with that little sixth guy still on the edge. ... show more

I was an excited member of their plant club for a long time, still having many of those plants growing large and making pups today (2 years later)….however, with this order, it arrived with two already damaged and not from the trip. I’m confident of this because one of the succulents had two of its bottom petals just stuck in the dirt, not actually attached to the plant whatsoever. Another tiny succulent was already missing two petals, which were not found in the packaging. Another seemed to be a tiny pup that was crammed in dirt, so we will see if its roots develop or not. Another arrived the same way and half dead. Thus, I ended up with two out of six tiny succulents arriving healthy. This never previously occurred when I faithfully used only this company two or so years ago and I am highly disappointed at how far the quality of their succulents have gone downhill! Two stars for the two tiny succulents that are doing well so far, and hopes that the others will recover! Although from experience, where these missing petals and trick into believing I’d received a healthy one (with its petals shuffling to look attached) at least two will not grow back from the damaged sides. For unbelievably large, healthy, gorgeous succulents, I have recently found fat plants on Amazon, but for tiny succulents, I’m now lost after having such trust grown and killed off after this order. ... show more
