Pothos (epipremnum aureum) is one of those tried &-true houseplants almost everyone has or has had but paired with our mid-century modern planter gives it a modern design twist. The traditional pothos variety is golden pothos also commonly known as devil's ivy, it features heart-shaped mid-green foliage splashed in creamy gold. If you grow this variety up a totem & give it lots of light & warmth, you’ll find the leaves can grow quite large. In fact, outdoors in frost-free areas, the leaves can reach 12" wide or more. Pothos requires no special care indoors; it tolerates low light (but grows well in medium- & high-light spots, as well), low humidity, & the occasional missed watering. That said, pothos prefers moist (but not wet or saturated) soil, so it's best to water it when the top " or so of the potting mix is dry. Not only is this an extremely easy to grow house plant, pothos also functions as a living air purifier making it ideal for home & office settings.
