Philodendron Pink Princess features , green foliage. The Philodendron Pink Princess is great for tabletops. It does well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place Philodendron Pink Princess in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours of sunlight). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 1/2 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Philodendron Pink Princess sit in water or overly soggy soil.The height is approximately 14-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Philodendron Pink Princess in a white, 6-inch composite material planter. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes.The Philodendron Pink Princess is a grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general- purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Philodendron Pink Princess, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. A few years ago, I think I spent $30 on a cutting of a pink princess for my daughter. This time, I spent about the same cost and got a whole plant. And it's a very very nice plant. I checked my moisture meter right away and it was still fine. I'll keep an eye on it for a few days before watering. The plant itself is in great condition (although one leaf was a bit wilted), and extremely well packed. There's a bamboo pole in the pot, and the plant pot was wrapped in cling wrap, with kraft paper protecting the leaves and plant overall. The box was tall, so that the plant wasn't as affected by the transportation. I'm really pleased with it, and I'm hoping I can keep it happy. ... show more

It looked like it got turned upside down a few times in transit... the dirt had gone everywhere but the plant seemed just fine, had lots of leaves and looks super healthy. Even has a new leaf unfurling - so excited Update:One month later and quite a few leaves have fallen off. The one that was opening is deformed and looks like it was chopped up. Going to repot this weekend and hopefully revive it. Keeping my fingers crossed. This has done nothing but continue to die... I grow lots of plants and other Philodendrons too with great success but this one doesn't want to grow. SOOOOO DISSAPOINTED :(. The Phillies next to it are thriving - I really believe there is something wrong with this plant and it's too expensive to do nothing about it. I can't seem to reach the vendor through Amazon so is this just my loss? Please Help! ... show more

I bought my pink princess for the cyber Monday sale because it was such a good price and I’ve always wanted one but they were too expensive for me to blind buy a plant online and risk it coming in and being disappointed. But for the cyber Monday sale I figured I’d take the risk because it would be a great price regardless and as long as it was alive I’d be happy. Well she came in today and she’s BEAUTIFUL. As you can see from the pictures she is healthy and multiple leaves have wonderful patterns of pink in them. I never write reviews but I had to write this one just so I could show everyone how pretty she is! I’m very excited and tempted to buy another just because the price is so good and this company truly does send a quality plant with your purchase. If you’re thinking about buying, I’d say just do it! I’m very glad I took the risk. You could pay a whole lot more for a whole lot less when buying pink princess philodendrons. ... show more

I was soooo excited I finally received this package. Delivery took a while but it arrived in great condition and well packaged. There was one leaf that didn’t make it unfortunately. The plant overall looks healthy, however, I was disappointed that it didn’t have any pink leaves. What I purchased was a “pink” princess but my plant has no pink in sight. I was so excited to see other reviewers and their plants had at least one pink leaf. I am hopeful it will eventually grow pink variegation but will have to update in a few months. I am pleased with the condition of the plant itself. It doesn’t seem to have any pests and it arrived with a cute white pot which I loved. Overall giving it a 3 because it’s not exactly was I wanted, but appreciate Costa Farms for great packaging and good quality plant. Now to hope for some pink goodness!!! Just something to bear in mind when purchasing from them. It seems to be a toss up on whether you’ll see pink or not. Update: just a few weeks passed and the bottom leaves started falling off. I inspected the roots and it was in fact root rot. I’m really disappointed and sad because she was soaked in water when she arrived. I hope she can bounce back from water props. ... show more

I have purchased many houseplants sold by Costa Farms in local big box stores but this was the first time ordering a plant from them online. The Philodendron “Pink Princess” has been in the top 3 of my “wishlist” and after waiting for the price to come down I finally ordered one! She arrived so well-packed and healthy ~ no pests, broken or yellowing leaves and lots of beautiful pink splashes among the compact growth. I removed one star only because the growing medium was dripping wet (even after its long journey from Florida to NW Wisconsin) and for the inexperienced plant parent, that likely would have caused root rot. I took her out of the decorative pot with no drainage holes and wrapped the nursery pot WITH drainage holes in a thick towel, to absorb all the excess water. I repeated that several times, until no more water was being absorbed into the towels and placed her under grow lights. In the few days I’ve had her, she’s already put out new growth and once she’s acclimated a bit more to my home environment, I will put her in a terra cotta pot, with my homemade, “chunky” mix for my Philodendrons. I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Costa Farms online again! I did get a beautiful healthy plant! I just recommend removing any plant from the outer, decorative pot immediately and checking the moisture content of the soil and let those roots breathe! *The first picture is the plant immediately after receiving her, the second is 3 days later, after she’s had time to stretch out and breathe* ... show more

Like many other plant obsessed millennials who don’t have kids, I have been keeping my eye on the PPP for a while. Costa Farms is a well known reputable rare plant breeder in the plant community. Last year I lost a couple hundred bucks on a cutting of another wish list plant via Etsy that showed up completely overtaken with root rot beyond any possible repair. When I saw this one for sale on Amazon and the price point I felt it was worth the gamble. My heart just about broke when I saw the package in my package room. It was nearly bent in half and looked like it had gotten into several bar fights against drunk bulls on its journey from Florida to California. Miraculously, this is the plant I found inside. This is about 30 min after unboxing it and making sure I gave it a drink and a little light misting. It is fully variegated and I can not WAIT to see its future new leaves come in. I’ve bought thousands of things on Amazon over the years and this is the first time I’ve bothered writing a review - because this truly felt worthy of one. If you too lack the required emotional attention a SO or child would provide, look no further because this will absolutely temporarily fill that void and convince you that you’re heading in all the right directions in your life. ... show more

I’ve been holding off on buying a PPP from Amazon, mostly because I figured I would find one locally in better condition than what I imagined a plant would look like coming off a UPS truck. I finally found one at a local nursery, but they were pretty small and had low variegation. I gave in and decided to gamble with Amazon. I was 100% expecting to open the box to a mess, but I’m so happy with what I received! My plant came well-packaged, and in great shape. The packaging was sufficient, and none of the soil was spoiled out into the box. There were no broken leaves from shipping (the few broken off ones in the pic must’ve been before shipping, as there were no broken bits in the box). The foliage is so thick, and there are so many beautiful colorations on the leaves. I can’t tell if the half-moons or the speckled leaves are my favorite. The moisture level of the soil was perfect. I’m used to getting Costa Farms plants from Walmart and they’re either drowning or very dried out, so I was pleasantly surprised. It also came with the decorative pot, which is a nice option to have. Personally, I will leave my plant just in the nursery pot, but I will definitely use the pretty one for one of my other plants.
