Description

Peace Lily features solid, green foliage. The Peace Lilyis great for tabletops. It does well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place Peace Lily in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours of sunlight). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 1 cup and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Peace Lily sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at shipping is approximately 15-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Peace Lily ships in a pink, 6-inch ceramic planter. To avoid water spillage, this container does not have holes. The Peace Lily is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. Give it a boost during the warm months of Spring and Summer with a general-purpose fertilizer that is formulated for potted plants. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the best use. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Peace Lily, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Loving my plant. It is 1 foot tall. The plant looks in great condition but didn’t bloom yet. When I seen the box it came it I was alittle alarmed bc the box seen better days but this plant was packed in there so good it did not affect the plant at all. He came thirsty from traveling on that UPS truck so as soon as I got him out I gave him a drink. These pics are taken 10 minutes after I opened him so this is exactly how he comes in the box. I love the Peace Lily plant. Not only are they pretty when they bloom (and the blooms are generally long lasting), but for me, they have been really easy to care for. I do not have a green thumb when it comes to plants, and oftentimes, when I am taking care of plants, even when it seems like I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing correctly, the plant ends up succumbing to an early death for reasons unknown. The Peace Lily is one plant that, despite my not ever following directions as to appropriate care (at least based upon the instructions that came with this plant), I have managed to keep happy, blooming, disease free and alive for years until just recently, when I forgot to water it and it died off. So I wanted to replace that original peace lily plant with another one - in part because I missed having such a cooperative plant, but I also liked the pot I had mine in and wanted to reuse it for another plant in the same place. So I purchased this plant from Amazon. It arrived really in very good overall condition. Shipping time took about a week (Florida to New Jersey and over a weekend) - and when it arrived and I opened it up, the new peace lily was in bloom, though the blooms were about done for and already browning out. The plant only had one dead leaf on it though, but everything else to do with it was thriving, though a bit out of shape, having been shipped from around a thousand miles away. The packaging of this plant for shipping was amazing - it's pot was wrapped tightly in saran type plastic wrap, held in place by bamboo stakes which kept virtually all the soil within its pot and the stakes also helped provide support to plant as well, and the shipping carton was designed to hold the plant securely in place. The plant itself was potted in a typical green plastic nursery container, which fits perfectly inside the decorative plastic flower pot that comes with it. The outer flower pot is very good looking, so much so that even up close, it truly looks like it was made from clay, rather than plastic, so I chose to keep this plant in that pot, rather than using my old one that I originally intended. Overall, this peace lily plant is still doing very well and looks great. My big struggle is deciding whether to follow the care instructions that came with this plant, or do what I always did with my old peace lily, which kept that one alive and healthy for years (though often left its roots sitting in water for days at a time) until a lack of water did it in. If you are in the market for a peace lily, I would recommend considering Costa Farms for purchasing one, but know that the one you will get from them is likely not going to be small in size (even if the height of the lily is matches its description perfectly). So if your space is limited in size for that plant, you might do better purchasing one in person elsewhere, (or you could prune the one you get) so you know the plant will fit your space. ... show more

Great buy, with a mishap in shipping. On arrival I opened the box and noticed the pot was destroyed. This wasn’t a big deal for me as I was looking to repot the plant. But just be aware it can happen during shipping if you want to have the pot remain in tact. The reason I did buy this is for the plant itself, and it is absolutely beautiful and healthy. OMGosh it is gorgous and stuffed with many plants with blooms. I love it. Update 3 days later there were 11 leaves that were dying on it, I have it in intensive care right now but I see 2 more leave I am going to loose. It was so heavily packed the roots were growing up and out of the soil. It's to soon to repot it but I and going to try, u mean it was si beautiful ... show more

My peace lilies arrived today. They came in two knee high boxes. Yes, I ordered two. The one was in a box that had been damaged. The plant itself was beautiful, but the pot was broken. They did refund the purchase though and I didn't have to send the plant back. It was for mother's day and it was delivered on the Friday before, so I had to order another which will have to be delivered late. :(
