Although I don’t have this plant in my possession any longer, it wasn’t of good use to my living space. The plant arrived in its packaging. When I unpacked the plant it looked dead. It had no life to it. All of the leaves were dropped and dark brown in color…almost black. I kept it for a few weeks hoping some life would spring into it and it never did. This is not the worst package I've ever received, but it ranked up there. If the delivery driver (UPS) had actually knocked, I would have rejected the package outright. I bought this plant at a reduced price, so I more or less considered this a floor model with a dents and dings discounts. I figured I take a look inside before messing with a return. Despite the outside, the internal packaging was thoughtful and effective (perhaps they've learnt from prior experience). The plant was wrapped in paper and cinched in a little with tape near the base. This was reinforced with cutout tabs the extend into the box to keep the put at the bottom. The plant I received was in overall good health. It was in a growing point which was inside the "mod pot." The soil was moist (couldn't avoid the word). It's a good size. Some of the smaller growth at the bottom either fell off or needed to be removed (normal). The bigger concern (literally) was that a couple of the large leaves at the top were nicked and/or scarred. The injuries were healed, which suggests that a picker chose this plant for shipment despite the damage. The plant was also pretty dusty coming out of the box. From the looks of things, that had more to do with shipping than growing conditions. I misted the leaves and blotted off the debris with a damp sponge. I'm okay with keeping this plant for myself, but it's the sort that you wouldn't give as a gift or that you would probably pass on if you were at a nursery and had several to chose from. ... show more
