What a surprise! This bed frame turned out to be absolutely beautiful. I am SO happy with this purchase. I purchased the KING bed frame and the SUPER HEAVY box arrived well packaged. I did require help moving the box inside as I could not lift by myself. Even though the outside box was torn in a couple of corners, nothing inside was even close to being damaged. It probably took me a little longer to assemble the bed, but I was able to do it all by myself. The bed is a beautiful burnished gold metal -- not the 'brassy brass' color of yesteryear. The grooved clean lines in the frame make it look modern and sophisticated. Been sleeping in it a few days now and it seems super sturdy. Does not clank around like the old brass beds. The assembly illustrations were super easy to follow and did not require any additional tools. The two little wrenches that were provided were all that was needed. All the metal pieces seemed to be solidly welded together. I did not find any sharp or unfinished metal edges and I did not experience any issues with the screws not going in straight or the threads being off. UPDATE 11/20- After a year and a half the bed is holding up beautifully! Still looks as good as day 1 and the structural integrity hasn't faltered a bit. I would 100% recommend this bed!! Original review-The first one we ordered arrived damaged. The packaging was very solid but it had been pretty beaten up in shipping-not the fault of the manufacturer. We returned and a replacement came and we held our breath as that box had also been beaten up. Thankfully the second one was not damaged. It seemed like it might be a little unstable and we were concerned because the weight limit said 500 lbs (we don't total anywhere near 400 lbs but our thick memory foam mattress is very heavy) but once put together it was extremely sturdy and i have no doubt it would handle way more than 500 lbs. Absolutely LOVE the bed and for the price, you can't beat it!! ... show more

My new king sized bed is so nice. I looked and looked for a couple of months and compared reviews and narrowed it down to 2 and this is the one I chose. I'm so happy with it. Its a brushed gold color and honestly none of my stuff is really the same color or tone and this bed goes with everything I have. It does not clash with anything. It helps to have another person to help put it together but its not difficult, just kind of a pain to get all the screws in with the little wrench they send. But it came together with no problems and it looks lovely and is very sturdy and no squeeking at all! I think it will last a long time. I love it! ... show more

Upgraded to a King bed and got this bed frame for it. It took about 3-4 hours to put together with two people. Some parts seemed pretty difficult to put together and I almost thought we'd have to return it, but we managed. It came together really nice. We've had it for almost a year now, and one bolt keeps coming off the bed. Overall though, it's pretty durable and I'd recommend it. The gold color is a bit darker than the pictures. ... show more

When I saw this frame I fell in love and immediately ordered the Queen size. It came early and it seemed like a million pieces but I was so pressed I put it together in less than 2 hours by myself. Didn't even realize I needed my support for my back and you can definitely feel the difference. Only negative trait is the middle support bar leg is a bit flimsy so if you like a hard hitta in the bed, just check it to make sure it not slanting after your workout session. First off, I would like to say I did not see that a box spring was required. I was shopping for platform beds and this bed did not appear to need a box spring. However upon arrival, I noticed the outside of the box stated “foundation required.” Then I looked the item up on Amazon and it was started in the description. Aside from that, this is a sturdy, nice looking bed. I attempted to assemble this by myself, but needed a second person. Bed is sturdy, takes at least 1 1/2 hrs to put together as it says…..but it’s a tan (dark Khaki ) metal not gold. I don’t have the time as it is a short term beach rental but I suggest take real gold paint to litely streak it to give it some depth. First bed did not ship well so check it carefully.
